  1. I am the first frontier for this one and yea its not moving any closer. LOL. To borrow one of Canderson's analogies it is moving slower than the Reb's on Gettysburg.
  2. Its great. A little pricey during the summer ($7 per person so a family of 6 is out $2 as an example). Lots of great hikes.
  3. Wow, 10 miles. I wish I could pull that off. I am too out of shape. LOL. 2-4 miles is more my area.
  4. @Itstrainingtime with all models pointing to a soaker over the next two days, even for the USV though not as much as the LSV, as far as I am concerned as long as we get another .25" or more by Tuesday evening your forecast verified :-). EC's latest map plus mid to upper 50's tonight!
  5. Not sure I have ever seen people viewing fall foliage in August but I heard a person today say they were up this way to see the "early Orange". I was in Cunningham Falls State Park today (Maryland) and it was not nearly as prevalent as in South Mountain PA. We would usually not go to that park in the Summer because of all the DC and Baltimore people who come up but they closed swimming because the lake was too low so it was tolerable and the weather was great. The walk to Cunningham Falls is only about 1/2 mile each way so a treat on a day like this.
  6. Low humidity and great visibility today. Surprising me a bit as I am now seeing trees changing color here. Not Maples yet but other types. Would say about 15-20% of the trees are now orange with the extra visibility I have today vs. the last week of humid air.
  7. If I did not know you were such a nice guy I would say that you just found a way to call me an a-hole in the most eloquent way in history.
  8. I am cursed this summer (or maybe every summer). I have only had about 5" for the entire 3 month period of summer if you can believe that. So many farmers here so am going to assume its just a bad summer.
  9. You probably should have excluded me from your predict. Ha. We ended up with .15". I thing Cashtown got more today so he may be over 1/2".
  10. I saw a spotter report of 1.5" in an hour near Latrobe. That is some pretty heavy rain.
  11. Wow, Cumberland MD to Youngstown Ohio is looking at flooding right now. Just one solid area of 1/2 to 1" an hour rains.
  12. You may get more rain today than all other summer days combined. I would only need 4-5" to do that here.
  13. Oh I think I am getting some rain today (tonight probably). Itstraining time has put his backing behind it as has the HRRR. But radar weather guessing has been terrible this summer. Looking at the latest HRRR it did an incredible job predicting that imminent rain would fail before getting here. Looks good for your area as well at about 1/4".
  14. Its been a terrible summer for guessing local conditions based on radar. One almost wants to be looking dry up until 15 min before show time.
  15. Can only laugh at myself. It skipped right over us. It rained for maybe 2 min. Congrats on your haul.
  16. I bet @CarlislePaWx picked up over 1/2". Think we might get the same shortly. The looks here are just like Mags pic from last night.
  17. I have been tricked too often this year by accidentally looking at the composite radar. I wish the NWS would change their front page radar to base.
