Love it. GFS is the smack middle solution of the NAM and the Euro - and BGM seems to be siding with that idea. Let's go!

NAM Slightly colder. Exactly what you wanna start seeing at this range. I still think the ever consistent look of the GFS will win. Just my humble opinion

It could work out perfectly for CNY, where the Low stalls and keeps us in the main band and then as the secondary takes over, we get additional amounts from that. I am actually a bit optimistic about that as a possibility. It's going to be close.
Who the F are you and what have you done with Matt???

True. If that high ratio stuff occurs, I can see us hitting double digits. BGM's latest discussion is saying 7 to 12 inches. Their discussions up until now have been they're rather unimpressed with lake potential behind the system, so not sure if they're including that much in the map. I'm going with the lower end for now.
Shocker. Lol.
I think they’re not big on true lake effect because things dry up quick. But the lake enhanced is another story. This part…

I saw that, and am quite surprised.
I think it’s the lake enhancement high ratio snow that’ll do it. We hit the numbers spit out in the last big storm on Koochie thanks to Lake Enhanced and Lake Effect. Not saying it’s what will happen but I like the upper end of 8” for sure.

Stop it. Stop with the lies. Your rainbow farts do nothing here.
Matches BGM NWS almost exactly.

Any potential of double digits in parts of CNY, or is the max upper single digits?
I think areas that see a strong enough upfront thump, no mixing and lake enhancement/lake effect with good ratios certainly can make a run at 10” plus.

Syracuse is the most ridiculous climate I have ever lived in. If you love warmth, it's the place for you.
2 minutes ago, TugHillMatt said:At 58 degrees, it is 10 above the forecasted high and almost 25 degrees above "average." But again, highs 20 to 25 degrees above normal seem quite common in the time I have lived here. Microclimate of awful Chinook winds.
Just now, TugHillMatt said:I did get outside to enjoy the sunshine, but there was still several inches of slush (or mud) at the park. So now I sit here at the dentist with WET feet. Lol
Your best attribute is that you never seem to complain.
