There's a winter storm warning due to the amount of frozen cottage cheese that will be falling out of the sky tomorrow.

Disappointing because I am still waiting for the Kielbasa and Weenies to fall from the the sky during the last storm.

Everybody, stop it.  You can whine all day about being persecuted because of your industry or beliefs blah blah blah.  This is a weather forum.  I don't care whose "side" you are on (unless it's rain and 33).  Stop talking about that shit here....there's a politics board.  I see why the post was deleted.  Not because of your sacred beliefs  but because it definitely would spark what's already happening: political discussion.  Nobody comes here for that.  We all come here to get away from that.   Controversial figures from either side would get deleted.  I know, because I've done it.  To both "sides".

Can we get back to discussing how we are going to fail tomorrow?  Or any other subject except for politics or political figures.   This is nothing personal against anybody seeing as though some of the folks I like the most from this subforum are on the other "side".   Let's get back to fighting our real common enemy:  Ji's shit posts.

This 1000%... not saying that to pick sides or kiss ass. I don't come here for politics. As a matter of fact, politics is the LAST thing I want to discuss or read about here.

The NAM took our snow away, that's what went wrong!

Regardless, I have a winter storm warning which guarantees I get more snow than modeled. These warnings alone have been known to add several inches to what has been shown on the models. Good luck my friend and may you not be fringed.

Still showing the DC-Bowie-Crofton-Crownsville-Annapolis-Cape area screwjob I see. I've seen this claw "minima" for the past few days per some of the model runs (multiple models). I get that there's potentially going to be a maxima south with better UVVs and colder 850-750 temps, and of course areas farther N and W will likely begin to mix later. But if this verifies, it will be the second time in less than a month where this minima was ~ route 50. I know that minima has to be somewhere, but geez! You think we were 1,000ft below sea level. :(

The claw is real! I have updated the map accordingly.

Again, I'm not typically a fruity-beer dude, but that strawberry/pomegranate sour ale sounds intriguing.

Neither am I, as I have said before... I like beer in my beer. But now I am slightly intrigued.

My benchmark as well. If I get that I'll be satisfied. Don't care about totals at this point. 31.1/16.4

Of course you don't care about totals... you have already been reaped.

My benchmark is 4+ (snow only)... otherwise I may be joining you.

Judging by today's models I think it is doable.

Temp steadily dropping...weather app is 28 here already (clear skies are helping!)

This is really messed up. How is Baltimore outperforming me with lower temps?

    31/10 Pasadena.

2020-2021 has truly turned into bizzaro world.

More good news! Seems the Baltimore 'burbs have got more going on with regard to breweries than our corner of Fairfax County lately. I think it's time to switch up our typical Loudoun County brewery day-trips and head north into MD for a change.

PRO: Getting the hell out of the close-in NoVA 'burbs for the day

CON: Having to drive back from BaltCo / HoCo / AACo after having one, two, maybe even three 8.0+ ABV IPAs (over the course of an afternoon)

    :drunk:

I hear that... the VA corridor is one of the worst areas to travel in the entire country.

this thing is dead in the water. Roger didn’t give anyone more than 12”.

We are doomed.... "That's the only route I see to anything heavier than about 6" and my forecast range is 3-6" for the three airports, 6-8" Frederick and 8-12" max in the MRB to MDT zone."

Ok I need to check that out. Older Miss J will be a senior next year and we are going to start looking at colleges. She wants to check out St. Mary's Honors College. We have never been down to that part of MD so looking forward to it.

Used to catch white perch, yellow perch, pike, carp, sunfish, etc. all in around the Magothy. Later, when I lived on Stoney Creek, I would catch rock fish. I could net some grass shrimp and use as bait.

Mystery IPA! But based on the kind of goods that @Scraff lucks into...and the kind of beers you Baltimore folks typically have access to, I'd definitely take my chances.  :)

They are opening a new taproom in Pasadena. Hysteria Brewing Tap House.

Nice!  I have no idea what I'm drinking.  When I saw @Scraff last week he gave us a six pack of assorted cans and a couple had no label.  It's a darn good sour though.

First sour I ever had was Rodenbach Grand Cru... before sours were "cool". Never really explored many beyond that.

I’ve only been there a handful of times. My parents had friends there, but it wasn’t my scene.

A lot of my friends lived in the Lake Shore area. So I spent a good amount of time there as well.

I'd sacrifice a lot of snow for waterfront property on a quality crabbing and white perch creek.

Used to catch crabs and white perch all the time. There was a restaurant called Riverdale on the water (it has since burned down). We use to go there, throw a string with a piece of chicken tied to it into the water and net crabs as kids. Legal size crabs.

Agreed, I mentioned closer to Gibson island as I was most familiar with those nice homes. It’s where all the popular kids from my days lived.  I dated a guy who lived off N Shore, wasn’t on the water but oh man was it a really nice house and lot.

Makes sense given its proximity to CHS. I used to hang out on the Island all the time.

It does make it harder to keep a thread focused

And hence the need for mods. You can also deter people from participating by making things too rigidly structured. I think it is a compromise to some degree.
