54F here...almost glad there's no snow on the ground to lose

Some frozen here tomorrow night would be nice. Haven't seen so much as a flake in the air since Nov. Hopefully that gets going in time to put down 2-3 here.

This rain can't end soon enough. My basement sump can't handle any more work this season. Hopefully we transition to more frozen vs. wet over the next few weeks.

Congrats to those building their base tonight. Mine is pretty much gone. Most likely too warm for any frozen here but even along the coast we're seeing temps tick down ever so slightly in the past hour or so. 37F

Depending on placement of the low, and which model to believe at this early stage, could mean snow vs. rain here. Should get a better idea by 12z tomorrow.

Didn't have time to post earlier but at the time squalls were coming through, I opened the front door and at that exact moment a lightning flash filled the sky. Thunder wasn't far behind so pretty close. Freaked my daughter out a bit. I've heard  thunder snow before but this might have been the first time in a squall. Really cool. Mid-January night out there. 20F

GYX says eastern zones pick up a little refresher tomorrow night

Left my house this morning a little before 9 with rain. Arrived at work just 3 miles away and it was a pelt fest. Quite the drop in temps at that time per my station:

Went to sleet about an hour ago, now snow again. 30F Looks like a nice back edge could swing through later.

Rain and 38F after maybe 4 inches based on the 2-3 inches of slop out there

32F and coming down pretty good. About 1.5 inches.

Pretty uniform temps from NYC all the way up here. Hoping for 3-4 here. 31F
