Doesn't look too exciting here but would be pleased to get our first inch of snow. Always fun to get that first event that draws the crowds and see the "40+ new responses" on the board after stepping away for a while.

22.6F...coldest so far

Hopefully getting the snow pack built up nearby will help establish better base conditions for CAD in any early Dec. systems and get things started down here.

Looks invigorating after the storm next week blows by....maybe black ice on the roads and flurries in the air? Just hoping it's not another 2-3 inch basement soaking affair.

Raw night...42F cold rain.

Looks like I might have hit my low for October on the last day of the month. Hit 26.8 on the weather station...just 2/10th lower than 10/22.

Took a ride to Hampton Beach earlier this evening...wild winds and eerie sounds whistling through the structures near the beach. Isles of Shoals gusted to 64mph in the past hour.

Made the trip from NH to Trillium in Canton. Quite a bit of leaf drop and branches down driving through Dedham, Canton. Im guessing more damage here due to trees still mostly in leaf

Wild drive from Portsmouth down to Haverhill earlier this evening. Didn't expect the light show and torrential rains...definitely a little white knuckle for a while.
Looks like maybe a couple slushy inches on LL Cote web cam in Errol: http://www2.llcote.com/webcam.php

Coastal NH is not really NNE... it might as well be Scooter's house climo there is more mild that further up an in.
Could be nice on the coast as far as wind and rain
Agreed...this is more CNE and climo is milder especially this time of year compared to up north (ocean influence). But later in the season we tend to do well especially in 128/495 systems compared to Boston, points south. As for this upcoming storm, hoping we can take a few limbs down but this doesn't look as impressive as it did last week.

Coldest morning so far at my place...27F

GFS is snow to coast tomorrow...I'll believe it when I see it

28F for the low. Figured we'd get lower seeing it was 29 before 11PM last night but it leveled off.

30F...not bad for mid-Oct

47F with light rain off a low of 40. Despite not being in the NWS coverage zone, I expect out first frost tonight as I'm in a bit of a hollow near a marsh. Hopefully first freeze later next week to end my mowing season.

Looks like a nice day out in P-town...

Some kind of sea breeze/backdoor just blew threw here. Went from stagnant and humid to breezy and a little chill to the air...low clouds whipping by overhead. Feels great after the soup.

Purely a "sense" but seems unusually cloudy fall this year. Even in Sept., which is normally clear most of the time. 60/52 with mist. I think this kind of weather brings bigger crowds to the festivals of beer and food this time of year as opposed to sunny and warm. People want to feel the season.

Hit 71 about an hour ago and falling back now

Euro blows up a nice gale in our vicinity at 240.

Reports of sleet in northern Maine

Oh man, just read this over on one of the news sites:
"Meantime in the eastern Mediterranean, a powerful and rare storm is poised to hit. It's unofficially called a "Medicane" (Mediterranean + hurricane), and it's like a hurricane and a typhoon combined."

Definitely, I have just seen recent cases with reports (tweets) of impending heat within a weeks time only to see that not come to fruition. I'm wondering if its a function of the late summer/early fall transition that makes a 7-day highly suspect because the atmosphere is in transition? In mid-summer or winter, I expect your going to get days 5 through 7 right more often?

Some flakes flying on Thanksgiving would be pretty nice to set the tone for the holiday season.
