.1" is the record criteria for first snow in 2/3/95 in Philly. Looking like we may challenge this.
I had a light dusting on my windshield wipers the other day which didn't even equal this...

Same to you. Merry Christmas!
My neighbors are quite religious...ehh, I probably don't want to deal w/it.
Rather watch the video/audio fireplace w/acoustic tunes throughout my place w/chromecast...super mellow.

Merry Christmas all...doing the log fire video through LED/5.1 stereo w/tunes. No fireplace and if tried to start a fire at midnight outside...neighbors may think I nuts.

I'm a big fan of squalls when it's very cold. Partly cloudy turns to low clouds then all hell breaks loose. Wind/heavy snow blowing on streets and within 15-20 minutes 1-2" which wreaks havoc. Probably why NWS started the squall warning alert in 2019 which makes your phone make that disturbing sound when a squall is approaching....

I'm probably in the minority but I would take 3 6" events rather than 1 18" event. It would feel like we had some sort of winter rather than a 1 and done...

To go really retro (70s/early 80s tops)...I remember those "Fotomat" or "Kodak" booths they would place randomly/illogically in the middle of shopping center parking lots...looking back, how primitive and funny.

Yep.
I think my parents have pictures from those 70s storms and 83' but who knows where they are? Ya know, the days where you had to take the film to Kmart and get developed. I guess eventually I'll sort through them...
