You’ll do really well tomorrow.  Easily warning-criteria.  I wish I was heading out to Deep Creek today vs Tuesday night...save some snow for Wednesday!

Any way we slice it the ski resorts should have a banner weekend next weekend.  The question seems to be whether there will be a foot of fresh natural snow on the ground; or two feet.

What does half open mean?  Need to know before I plan a trip up there.  Don't want to drive up and you are closed.

Means we can only have half of our capacity in at a time, which means only 25 people.  During busier nights we have a door person counting and keeping people out until others leave.

Wasn't so bad during the summer and fall, but waiting outside to get in during winter will not be fun.

We do normally have an expedited line for carry out cans with a few choices.  We sometimes sell can's of the BA Stout (like this weekend) but its more hit or miss as to what exactly is available for can take out.

Congrats!  Looking forward to coming out to try that Russian Imperial Stout.....and finally seeing some snow.

    Thanks!

You'll have to come out in the winter or spring to have a chance to see either of those.  We don't normally have the BA Stout for sale during the warm months.

Congrats! I am not wishing away winter but looking forward to next summer when (hopefully) Stumptown is open without restrictions.

I can't wait until that time as well!  Hopefully by May or June.  Being half open is tough.

It’s time for the GREAT debate.

Would you take 3x climo snowfall in one epic blizzard followed by nothing; OR

3x climo snowfall spread out in numerous small and moderate events from December to March. No warning level snowfall events.

I'll take option A.  A 400+ inch blizzard would be amazing!

Peak will be gone up there in two weeks. This upcoming weekend is likely to be the one closest to peak. Was up there last weekend and the color was already pronounced.

Yeah, its pretty much peak looking colors here now.  The nice rain we are getting today should hopefully extend the colors for a while and not have them drop and fall as quickly as they may have as dry as it has been.  This coming weekend should be really good colors still.

A couple people on here may know I love beer and that I recently am doing a 30 day no alcohol challenge along with food diet, I just want to quickly tell my story in case anyone else wants help...

So since I’ve been doing this 30 day no drinking alcohol and diet thing I’ve been doing (day 20 by the way) the biggest difference other than the weight loss which is now 19 pounds is the change in my heart rate. Assuming Fitbit is somewhat accurate, my resting heart rate has went from the upper 60s to around 70, down to a new low of 56 today and I don’t have as many spikes in heart rate in just doing simple activity. Anyone who knows me knows I’m not a health freak by any stretch but it was time to do this 30 day thing and hopefully when I do decide to start occasionally drinking again, it will have helped me learn moderation. Anyone who’s looking to lose a little weight and just be overall healthier, I encourage you to try the 30 day no drinking and better eating plan! If you have any questions I’ll be happy to try to help! #NewMe #HealthierMe #2020sBeenWeirdButNotSoBadForMe!

Good for you!  I hope others follow your lead.

My turning point was in December when my checkup revealed high blood pressure (154/95!) and high cholesterol levels, even though I was pretty active and I was within normal weight range at around 205 pounds.  So I cut back drinking substantially (went from 25-30 beers a week to now 5-10 beers a week, which is a challenge owning a brewery).  My diet is now whole grains, beans, nuts, fruits, vegetables and only the occasional helping of meat (usually fish).  I also bought a Nordic Track bike for indoors and a mountain bike for outdoors, and have used them every day for over 5 months.  Throw in a little resistance training and some meditation and I'm down to 180 pounds, my blood pressure this morning was 108/64 and I feel great every day, am more productive, and I've learned how to deal with stress so that its almost non-existent.  Over 7 months now and I can't imagine going back to my old ways.

I remember you saying that you might have Sunday hours at the brewery. You’re not open today by chance, are you?

Sorry I missed this, but we we're closed.  We've pretty much been out of beer (in cans) by Sunday each week, so we haven't opened that day yet.  We're now open Tues/Thurs/Fri/Sat afternoon/evenings

is the taproom open these days? Need another fix.

Open 5-9pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and Saturdays from 4-9pm.   Adding Sundays soon from 1-7pm.  Half capacity for all these days.  Still cans/growlers to go as well.

The wind is a bit much. I thought today would have been perfect with the same temps and maybe a 15 mph breeze. I know people have these visions of days and days in the 70s with low dew points in May, but we don't do perfect here. Given the inevitable, persistent heat and humidity that is coming, I will gladly take cooler than ideal this time of year, and like it.

Let me know how that is.

I've been contemplating a "pie" version of the fruited sour w/lactose.
