  1. When did you take the snow pic? The fall scene is spectacular.
  2. If it would actually stay on the ground, I'd happily sign up for 2 6" storms per year.
  3. Just saw the best meteor of my life. Bright fireball moving across the sky NW to SE. So bright it caught my eye through my glass doors/ transoms even with the light of the TV. Bright bluish white. Incredible.
  4. Hopefully, there is still enough time for it to trend to cold rain.
  5. It's not smiling at us; it's laughing at us.
  6. Absolutely correct. Our misses won't occur until we have cold air.
  7. Don't forget sunny skies and wind. It'll be good weather to stay inside and watch Weather Channel coverage of the blizzards pummeling the deep south and southeast.
  8. Pretty sure the coast has tripled my snow fall since 2016.
  9. It's simply amazing. Day after day after day. Remember this conversation (if) when it eventually snows again and 10 minutes later the sun is shining bright for days uninterrupted.
  10. Flurries here . That's more like it.
  11. Another cloudy, cool, dank day. Predictably, again, not a flake of snow, just a few spits of sprinkles. For just once, just one stinking time in my life, I wish we could get seemingly-endless cloudy, cool weather AFTER a snow storm. Just once, instead of the inevitable bright sunshine that immediately eviscerates the snow irregardless of temperature. Just once.
  12. I wish we could get a run of cloudy days like this in July or August. Sheesh. I think we've had like 3 sunny days since that snow storm.
  13. Not a flake. Rain from the start. More cold rain. New year, same shit.
  14. When would we ever again see 3 feet of snow and temps that stayed below freezing for a week, and in low sun season? The answer: never. '96 eats snowmageddon and defecates PD1 and 2.
  15. We'd be remiss if we failed to mention the great cirrus storm of December 2018. What a storm!!
  16. Wow. I have almost 9 inches this month alone. What is your "normal" 12 month total?
  17. My yard is mostly brown. The drought is back. And as today's futility has proven, it's only getting stronger. Long live the Shenandaoh Valley Desert.
  18. Here, it's pretty typical of every winter. I think my point was more how local the dryness has been. Most of the region has received significantly more, especially in Feb and Mar.
