  2. snow in Chelsea, golden retriever for scale .
  3. RGEM already busted and we haven’t even hit the midway point lol
  4. storms like this make me appreciate the resiliency of the subway system. the fact that service is still up and running even as roads are becoming impassible is kind of incredible

  11. Friend of mine has a flight to JFK scheduled for Monday at 9PM. Should he try to move it to today or do we think JFK will be back up and running smoothly by then?
  12. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen a day of storm tracking like today where every single run is even better than the last .
  13. forget HECS… we might be looking at a BECS .
  14. is there anything we can do about any weather?
  15. one random thought: while we are used to Manhattan/Central Park getting lower totals due to the urban heat island effect, I’d assume that’s going to be less of the case here as surface temps aren’t an issue and it’s only upper levels where warm temps are coming in
  16. Pretty disappointing here in Chelsea tbh. 3 inches of slop. Wish we hit the deform band .
  17. view from my office in Hudson yards… really ripping now. There was ~2 inches on the ground when I walked to work an hour ago .
  18. definitely the strongest aftershock and most intense shaking in my life other than the main event.
