That's really not that bad of a look out here, obviously need it more tucked. We'll see.
It's not bad at all, usually that would be a solid snowstorm for our area.

hopefully the icon holds. it is all we have left.
Kind of like seeing Gronk rumbling towards the end zone at full speed with only your third string safety back there at the goal line to attempt the game saving tackle
Sure there's a chance.....

I was just gonna say....YES, PLEASE!
Works for me.......but that is a very weird looking snowfall distribution map.
I can’t see anything verifying like that.

Anyone in here from Eastern upstate NY? Seems like every one is from LES areas and Western NY. I don’t ever see any one talk about eastern NY.
Define eastern.
I'm in Otsego County, east of most of the forum posters but still "central" NY.
Welcome to the board.

That you did.
Totals seem kind of low though.....barely a measly 50 inches here.
We should bump those up.

About 3 inches. here. 31F/30 dew. Snow is the consistency of 4 hour old oatmeal.

Real happy my Northern Rockies trip was last year. BC is the only game in town
We were supposed to be back country skiing at Yellowstone next month.
Had COVID not killed the trip the lack of snow might have!

We skate and play hockey on our section of an 85 acre, fairly shallow beaver pond.
Last evening I drilled holes to flood a section. We have 4 inches of ice. And then we hit 8F overnight so at least smaller ponds are in good shape now.

I counted about 5 clipper like systems from D7-14 on the GFS with lots of LES opportunities..A pattern we dream of.. Going to be a long week hoping this doesn't shit the bed lol
You know it's good when that Lake Erie band is delivering snow here in Otsego County!

I have never seen it so green and lush this time of year. It's actually quite fascinating at this point. The grass even seems to be slowly growing the tiniest bit. We don't even have any residual snow piles anywhere aside from the largest parking lots. It's like we live in a brand new climate, almost surreal.
Maybe this will cheer you up.
Taken today, those are my XC skis at the very bottom.
Wonderful conditions.

Binghamton afternoon discussion says lights out til at least early next week.
At least the temps are seasonable.

After the depressing Christmas rainstorm wiped out the snowpack we are back to some nice nordic ski conditions here, albeit with a few thin/wet spots.
Happy days are here again!

Managed to stay below freezing for the entirety. Just down tonsomenlight zr and a few pingers. Was probably about 3" when I went to sleep, not bad.
Even now?
We popped up above freezing around 0600, and it was 37F last I looked.
About 2 inches of frozen concrete overnight. I think most of it will remain because we get back below freezing this afternoon.
Back to Back Major Synoptic Snowstorms!

You just hate to see a spectacular snowstorm like this here with only meager scraps for SNE/Connecticut.
