If it's that obvious that these changes need to be made why would you wait 3 years to implement?

April is certainly the cruelest month in upstate NY. Just when you think you're out of winter.....they pull you back in! I can already see it coming when we are all enjoying 55F and warm bright sunshine next week.

Downhill? Nordic? We were up there last week and there was bountiful snow.

I took my kids out to the bus this morning and told them to look around at all the snow........this is our maximum snow depth for the year, for sure. After today it's all downhill. I give this winter an A- for our area. I'm into the winter sports and so my grade depends on snowpack and ski conditions. We had week of good skiing in December, and then January and February have been continuous with excellent pack and excellent surface conditions. If we could have kept winter going until mid-March I would have gone with the A grade.

Can you explain how that could happen in February? Thanks.

You just hate to see a spectacular snowstorm like this here with only meager scraps for SNE/Connecticut.

I have to admit, the members that keep most of the precip south of the PA border continue to be a red flag for me. At least there are fewer now than a day ago.

It's not bad at all, usually that would be a solid snowstorm for our area.

About 3 inches. here. 31F/30 dew. Snow is the consistency of 4 hour old oatmeal.

We were supposed to be back country skiing at Yellowstone next month. Had COVID not killed the trip the lack of snow might have!

We skate and play hockey on our section of an 85 acre, fairly shallow beaver pond. Last evening I drilled holes to flood a section. We have 4 inches of ice. And then we hit 8F overnight so at least smaller ponds are in good shape now.

Milano is absolutely key to stopping a runner like Henry (and we need Edmonds on top of his game too which has been hit and miss this year). Given his tendency to get injured, I would not have him play a single down against Miami. We really need him next week no matter who we end up playing.

I agree with you in that order, but there's a big drop off in my confidence after the first three. I think to make the Super Bowl from the AFC, you are going to have to beat the Chiefs. But getting there via the Titans or especially the Ravens is going to be very tough.

Same here and it's ridiculously stupid. I can see someone thinking of that idea last March, and it being reasonable. We know much more now. You aren't getting Covid from the grocery conveyer belt. What we need is for people to wear masks. It makes a big difference. And every time you hit people with stupid mindless rules like cleansing the grocery conveyer, they get more fed up and feel more harassed and get less likely to do the things that actually matter.

Better hope the virus fumbles like Cam Newton fumbled before it beats Buffalo......

I'd hold back the optimism about this one. There's no data, just a press release. The response to half doses doesn't make much sense. This one needs to be fully presented for publication before any analysis can be done. I'm not sure why they felt the need for a press release with so many unanswered questions.
