  1. 3 weeks ago I pick the first snow of season to come to Maine .. and it’ll rain while here lol.
  2. From daughter at THS boys final 4 state championship soccer game vs Ellington . 1-1 in OT. Heavy heavy snow
  3. There was a storm last winter. Nam was a torch aloft .. HRRR was dropping 2-4” even here. Guess who won ? I bet you recall the storm
  4. He’s just about ASL. Maybe there’s a hillier part of Simsbury I haven’t seen. But I can tell you .. no one thinks of Simsbury as snowy relative to hills NW and NE. It’s a beautiful area
  5. Cool and dry for days and days while Buffalo get 2-4’ of snow
  6. Absolutely. I dropped the blades to 3” today. It allows any leaves to blow into neighbors yards but more importantly.. grass blades get covered much faster in snow once ground freezes and lawn goes dormant and brown and blades naturally drop to like 1.5”
  7. I had to reseed many areas in early September. In fact.. if you look along the curb.. that is all new grass. It never came back . You can see the areas of lighter green grass where it’s new grass . The rains finally came in mid - late Aug but damage had been done
  8. I’ve actually spent a lot of time there . What’s the highest point in town not associated with Talcott Ridge ?
  9. Simsbury is not snowy dude .. lol. It’s a valley town . NW of Hotford .. but enjoy the retention after screamers
  10. What in the sam hell is that map ? It has Simsbury averaging more snow than Norfolk Your town is on par with the valley .. Farmington , WeHa etc. About 45”
  11. Yeah I think that’s the lean . Likely not gonna cut into a -AO/ - NAO
  12. Highest point is 1003’ which is the other direction. If you are thinking that spot it in that pic is higher than my house well …. beer
  13. Ryan’s got a rainer and 50’s for Tgiving. To me that one has a chance to be snow
  14. I’ve been thru that area many times for work and kids sports over the years. After a screamer they often have 3-4” of total frozen crust . But it’s a bad spot in winter storms .. particularly coastals . He’s bounded by Talcott Mtn on one side and NW hills on other . Right along Farmington River .. in thst valley
