  1. I give up. I didn’t downplay anything. I said I was wrong and happy I got rain .This place
  2. The little bit we had today was great and much appreciated. It’ll evaporate off by noon tomorrow so hopefully these guys on here calling for inches of rain and chilly temps next week are right on more water and wrong on the cold .
  3. You’ve had plenty of rain the last week that we all missed. You’re lawn is lush , so you have zero reason to complain
  4. I think we’ll take the Mets ideas and expertise over a set of charts that hasn’t been right in any season ever. Should be plenty of warmth and humidity next 10 days. Unless you missed the memo.. I’m a dew guy.. much prefer high dews even if it’s 78/70. I couldn’t care less about big heat unless it’s accompanied by high dews
  5. HRRR showed .20 around here but it missed on the widespread nature for sure. Can always slice Euro qpf
  6. Yes . We went over and I am gladly happy to admit my error. Not a soaking but it wet down the dust for a day. I’d say the NAM did best. HRRR not good though it did hit those higher amounts in SW CT and NYC . And Euro was trash
  7. Not the mass soaking that was promised but a few hours of rain after 15 days of none was good. Tapering off now
  8. Lol yeah that’s what I meant. Obviously they all use those radar sites but I honestly didn’t think anyone used the NWS interface as their go to radar anymore
  9. I don’t use NWS radars and haven’t for many many years lol. There’s about 8 other sources that are free that are better .
  10. Oh it’ll rain lightly. But color me skeptical on the guys calling for soakings regionally . We’ll verify this evening
  11. I thought he said north and south of that pike area not much. If it’s not over .50 it’s not a soaking. Couple fellas on here calling for that. I truly hope they’re right but I will stand by under .25 here
  12. Umm I looked at all 3. The east stuff is eroding. Why are you arguing what Scooter said would happen that is happening? There looks to be an area like Legro said right on the pike that couid maybe get .25, but most are way under that
  13. Look at that erode and dry up. Wtf Backedge already way east of BGM we can’t win
  14. No hostility at all. Just expressing that I don’t see this being soaking rains for the region. I’ll stand by that as the stuff is drying up as Scoots said. Hopefully someone scores a few heavier downpours
  15. Why are you using NWS radars #1? It’s not 1997. Most of that is high based . It’s only really light rain under a small area like HRRR depicts . We’re going to get screwed again, not a surprise to me at all. But seems like you’re thinking good rains. Good luck
  16. Looks dead nuts on. Light rain and sprinkles . Unreal Let us know how much soaking you total today
  17. Yeah.. congrats Sw CT on south. Started to look like that yesterday. That’s your rain and storm zone. Rest of us just scattered shower
  18. I hear you man. I have never seen it like this . I’m a lawn guy and typically will water, but my gut says this summer is record dry and hot and I decided not to risk my well. I hope these guys calling for big, widespread soakings are correct tomorrow. In my experience, these MCS are never modeled or forecast correctly . Maybe these guys will nail this one. Until it’s raining and radar looks great , I’ll remain skeptical. Just took this a little while ago . 15 straight days of no rain
  19. If that falls in 10 minutes.. no. If it’s over a few hours it helps yes . I just don’t see widespread soaking . Hope I’m wrong . We’ll verify tomorrow this time.
  20. Ginx says soaking . To me soaking is a couple inches of rain over a period of days. Not 2 downpours. As far as low dews.. not seeing that
