  1. That would be quite a winter. Two fall events in December and two spring events in march. And total crap in between.
  2. No--they had us in a watch for those as ORH is in the southern Worcester zone.
  3. Havent' had one of these to post in a couple months. I wonder when the last time ORH has gone through a winter without a warning being issued (I don't think we had one this year).
  4. At this point in the season, I don't think there'd be much of a rant at all. He's onto lawn/mulching needs. I'll be happy to get a good storm, but at this point in the season (the 2020 season) I'm not going to lose any sleep if it winds up a cold rain. A winter for the ash heap..
  5. You can tell it's spring when a threat 4-days out can only muster 2 pages of posts. Coronovirus and lawn thread are what it's all about these days.
  6. Looks like BOX needs a location for their Tolland Skywarn training. Is The Bue available?
  7. I'll say this much......if one can put aside the fact that the winter sucked and accept that there's no reason to think it won't end as sucky, it's very possible to head outside and recognize that March sun on a mild airmass makes for some nice weather. Enjoy.
  8. I'll take Charleston. Better yet, San Diego.
  9. At least no one started a thread.
  10. Time to enjoy the spring. Change clocks this weekend. 8 more months until weenies can conjure 240hr snow threats again. Bring on the bugs. 61*
  11. Acccept the things you can not change. Open the windows today and air out your house a bit.
  12. Inasmuch as tracking the corona virus has been much more fascinating than winter events this year, RI has it's first case.
  13. A better tug than BK's 'masseusse'.
  14. This February discussion is about as scintillating as one of Wiz's severe threads.
  15. I'm glad I checked out on February 1. The only upside is I didn't have to pay much for plowing this year. Looking ahead, only 7 months until the first day of fall. Maybe we can see some long-range signs then.
  16. This is as bad a winter as the ones I had as a kid growing up in New London. Just horrible.
  17. Well after a week or so of self-exile, I just poked back in here. Looks like I can return to my bunker.
  18. I'm trying to find a graphic of the model verification comparisons. It doesn't matter for what time period, I'm just trying to get an exampple. Also, if anyone has graphic of ensemble member low placements from any good storm, that would be great too. If it's showing a decent spread, that is even better! Thanks!
  19. For those of us who have forgotten what winter is, I just got this facebook 'memory' of Pit2 from 3 years ago. An epic week in Maine. I think this was after we had received 41" over the course of a week with another MECS arriving the day of the photo.
  20. No emotion here. I checked out 3 weeks ago.
