  1. You must have missed the people in the dry slot earlier saying Charlotte didn't deserve the snow because RDU has better climatology, lol. It was a rough day for them.
  2. I do think parts of that map were old like around Lancaster. We absolutely got more snow between 3 and 6pm but the report stayed the same.
  3. We probably doubled my accumulations in Lancaster in the few hours after sunset. Still snowing.
  4. Still snowing steadily. Accumulations actually picked up after sunset. Radar doesn't look as deep anymore but seems its deceptive.
  5. I'm so happy for Charlotte, I do wish the maximums had come a little further south, but everything is covered down here in Lancaster.
  6. Yeah, that map tracks lol. I'm a little disappointed down here in Lancaster, but at least we didn't get cold rain while Charlotte got everything!
  7. Has to be, I'm at like 2-3 inches. More than I've had in years, but not the 8-12 I had dreams of and it sounds like Charlotte got.
  8. I don't know if rates just weren't strong enough but despite constant snow accumulations aren't that big at my house.
  9. Social media video of Independence Blvd in Charlotte being a mess. People trying to drive up a hill and fishtailing.
  10. I'm really hoping that heavy band over GSP fully rotates to Charlotte and south. It looks cool on radar.
  11. Everything is shutting down early today. Didn't have to call out because store closed early on its own. Snow is still melting on sidewalks and the road in front of my house.
  12. How is Greenville, SC doing? The radar looks good over it.
  13. Grass is nearly covered but roads aren't yet. I'm supposed to work tonight but if the forecast goes the way it should roads should become bad soon.
  14. I hate that even with it actively snowing and already a dusting on the ground I'm scared of the fact it's dry south of Columbia already.
  15. Lancaster, SC rates really starting to pick up now.
  16. I will note a lot of the models, including the Euro I believe have shown the double maxima scenario with upstate SC and coastal NC winning, so if RDU is on the lower side it wasn't an impossible outcome, just one people didn't want to see.
  17. Few flakes seen falling in Lancaster, SC. The flakes that are making the ground are "shattering" as they hit the cars.
  18. If frontogenesis can happen over Charlotte I hope we get thundersnow. I remember my best snow at UNCC was a surprise frontogenesis under an ULL.
  19. Point forecast dropped to 90% and that terrifies me lol. Euro drying out also sucks.
  20. I'm getting hyped seeing virga on radar this early before go time.
  21. Also, my point forecast for Lancaster just updated to 100% chance of snow on Saturday with Heavy Snow possible. It's go time.
  22. Winter Storm Warnings for Charleston is such a treat to see.
  23. Some of this is why winter weather is unfun to track at times. For our region, someone has to lose if someone else is winning. Like of course I love the western solutions but it comes at the cost of RDU snow.
  24. Climatology is absolutely in his favor. Charlotte viewing area is often on the fringe of these major snows.
  25. Brad not believing in the Charlotte and upstate wins scenarios breaks my heart.
