    I'd say thats exactly it. Most weather sites do their forecasts now almost entirely off model runs and Accuweather has been guilty of that for years.

    Any idea when the winds are supposed to start? Trees and lines are coated here and thats got me a bit nervous if we do start seeing 20-40mph wind gusts

    Yea to be fair I've noticed MDT often has some very different temperature measurements than the surrounding area. Their snow measurements also get pretty wonky too. This is the NWS standards for temperature measurement sites https://www.weather.gov/coop/sitingpolicy2

    I'm sorta excited for this storm because if conditions are anything but gravy I can work from home with my new job no longer risking death so someone can get into Staples to buy a pack of pens!

    Is it pulling in a tongue of warmth from the ocean as the transfer to the coastal takes over?

    Im having network issues at work and trying to read weather models on a cell phone is kinda painful but I really dont see how Harrisburg area is rain at the start or even up till noon-ish unless the mid-layers are much warmer than the surface. Im not expecting snow (or anything really plowable) but to think its not gonna be a slush/sleet/ice fest is weird

    Been some nice flashes of lightning and some good thunder for the past 30mins or so

    The Camp Hill split is doing its work here based on Radar. Live north of Linglestown or S of Shippensburg you might get some rain (tho the lightning show has been pretty impressive looking to the N and W since sundown tonight
