You had a huge one I imagine because I did.  I don’t care about pack-melt it quickly and start again is fine.

I guess for me the lasting cover makes the winter…..I can’t stand getting 18-24 and then having it gone in a week…..who cares if another 18-24 comes after that….it would have been so much better id the first pack had stuck around

Not for me.  18+ is never anything to poo poo.

I know.....at least what came after that hasn't been matched once since......January 2011 was about as epic as it gets here......still haven't surpassed pack depth from that month....at one point it was almost 3 feet in unshoveled areas and the driveway banks were over 6 feet.....nowhere to put the snow.....month of yore

I kind of see your point.  I got 18+ Boxing Day and I took the dog around midnight up to one of the highest hills.   Snow was completely blown off of it despite very heavy falling snow.  But blizzards with wind work the landscape like nothing else.  It’s spectacular.

Do not ever mention that abomination of a storm known as Boxing Day ever again for christs sakes…..that storm was such garbage….that is all

That's 2009-10.  2010-11 was pretty strong in the snow department and that's what he was referring to.

2010-11 my favorite one since moving here 2004…….especially Jan 2011 and October 2011. Holy moly

On the graph? It’s showing what the flight level wind and pressure is doing as the recon flight traverses the storm…..those are twenty minute increments….red is pressure and blue is wind….. wind spikes right before you punch through the eyewall then tanks…..pressure continuously tanks until their heading away from the eye…..

    I’m in Tampa

    Zone A riding this out

tomorrow I am dropping my pool several inches if not a foot and taking furniture inside

    then it’s wait and watch.

    everyone be safe

What’s the feeling on the ground in A?  I know you’re not but are people actually leaving?  This thing comes onshore south and the heads will want heads…..which is ridiculous obviously

  7. Sister is in Valrico to the east of Tampa - she’s not in a designated evacuation zone but I’ve warned her that flooding rains will overwhelm the drainage system if the surge won’t let the water out…..they’ll make a decision to head east tomorrow…..

Ok so Wednesday’s potential was garbage too…and all of a sudden it’s not anymore.  Hard to keep up with all the garbage and  putrid talk lol.  Things changing fast of late.

If that’s the case, then Saturday’s potential is far from figured out that’s for sure.

It’s been figured out for weeks…..toss it in the trash….
