  1. Well a month ago I went the Longmont, CO and jumped right into the core of winter with single digits/teens temps and 8" of snow. Now tomorrow supposed to fly to Manchester, NH then drive down to Bedford, MA for meetings all week, and yea 12 to 18" is due there by this time tomorrow!
  2. Just went over to sleet here IMBY on the SE side of Dayton. Edit: all snow now and sticking on elevated stuff at 30.2 degrees (dropped 28 degrees in the past 5 hours!).
  3. Finally slowed down to a gallop from my Colorado trip, here's some pics, first one snow in Longmont morning of Tues Oct 30th we got about 4 more inches to total about 8" with temps 16-18 all day, middle is Thursday morning after the snow system cleared out was 3 degrees (didn't know the mountains were that close lol), last pic is from the east side of Boulder looking back west towards the mtns on our way back to the DEN airport.
  4. Hi Guys, I'm on a business trip in Longmont, CO this week, geeze, went from 70 degrees to 18 in a 3 hour flight yesterday!!! Never thought I'd see the worst winter weather of the 2019-20 season in October, you won't believe the low temp records their logging here in the Denver area (the deep snow is nothing to them). I-70 is closed just east of here, they got like a foot and a half in these two storms. Only about 7-8" here in Longmont, but still coming down! I'll have some pics when I get home. Forgot to mention they're expecting a possible all time record low for Oct. Thurs morning, -2 is the record and might hit -4 at DEN.
  5. Thundersnow in many locations in Indiana right now!
  6. Sweet! 17" for SE Indiana and over a foot for Dayton, LOL, lock it in under 24hrs for the NAM! https://www.pivotalweather.com/model.php?m=nam&p=snku_acc&rh=2019033006&fh=84&r=us_ov&dpdt=&mc
  7. I just noticed that LOL, heavy snows S. Ill/IND thru KY in the Sun/Mon/Tues time frame next week.
  8. Its a flizzard! 33 and moderate snow in the Dayton area.
  9. For any of you who fish for Steelhead in the Rocky River I'm coming up with my B-I-Law next weekend the 22nd-24th to try it again. I didn't catch any last November, but didn't know what I was doing then, maybe better luck this time!
  10. We didn't even get a quarter of a skiff! (and 2 to 4" modeled 3 days prior).
  11. I'd say close to 2" here on the SE side of Dayton as well, maybe 2.5" as grass almost covered, but it was pretty wet most of the day until it got down into the upper 20s late this afternoon.
  12. An area of extremely light snow has moved in for the kill.
  13. In our neck of the woods an inch is 'yea' this time of year lol, waiting for Sunday's event!
  14. We just had a brown out, power glitched for a fraction of a second, DAY had a gust of 56 the past hour and Lima 64!
  15. Agreed, the subtitle does include "Ohio and Surrounding States" tho, so if someone is not in one of the immediate surrounding states does necessarily mean they can't post in this sub.
  16. Couple 7" totals just north of Springfield.
  17. Right after I made my post a little after 2am last night we went straight over to FR RN then plain rain a couple hours later, total snow might have hit 2". At 5am WPAFB reported thundersnow and I work near the base and there's at least 4" of heavy wet snow still on the ground here.
  18. Ditto, same here on the SE side of Dayton, some of the heaviest snow of the winter right now, very heavy flakes coming down in chunks, you can tell tho the end is near!
  19. Awesome post! I'm almost in the nowcasting mode with the radars lighting up SW of our region, someone could get thundersnow tonight in the I-70 corridor, similar to what you stated, rates could be like 3" per hour for very short times! To bad most of us will be fast asleep if it occurs!
  20. ILN doing the 2 to 4" thing again tmar night into Wed morning. Similar to your '99 event I remember one from the last week of December close to 1990 where Cincy got a foot from a front end dump, Dayton about 5" before the warm front made it thru to drizzle. A bunch of guys from work where skiing at Perfect North that night loving life until they tried to go home and got stuck in their cars the whole night!
  21. Ok you have proved you're incapable of getting peoples "Obvious Point" in their posts. Let me explain another one for you, last month when I said 'blizzard of '19 in Boston' is was meant to be funny as I could potentially be fighting the bad weather conditions if it happened on my trip since Boston hasn't had a bad winter storm all season. Then in my post yesterday the Point of my post (in which everyone on this forum who read it) was my boss was in Boston actually fighting the bad weather they had and NOT ME, and that is funny. Unfortunately you somehow latched onto the benign fact that Boston actually wasn't getting a blizzard or being crushed, but for someone from the Dayton Ohio region being in Boston during a bad winter storm trying to navigate 10 lane interstates in a rental car and that person is your (my) boss you missed!
  22. LOL, I made this reply to OHweather's post back on Jan 27th, and part of what he said is "It’s even worse in the Philly-NYC-Boston corridor where they’ve largely missed out the last two weeks (and Boston has been hilariously futile so far)." Guess what, I didn't have to go, but my boss did, and Boston is getting crushed today! HAHAHAHAAAA!!!! Hanscom AFB had early dismissal!...
  23. Snowing in the SE side of Dayton now.
