  1. I'd say close to 2" here on the SE side of Dayton as well, maybe 2.5" as grass almost covered, but it was pretty wet most of the day until it got down into the upper 20s late this afternoon.
  2. An area of extremely light snow has moved in for the kill.
  3. In our neck of the woods an inch is 'yea' this time of year lol, waiting for Sunday's event!
  4. Hmm ILN going for highs not far from 50 in S. Ohio on Sat, so there's going to be some serious energy for system to work with for someone on Sunday!
  5. We just had a brown out, power glitched for a fraction of a second, DAY had a gust of 56 the past hour and Lima 64!
  6. Agreed, the subtitle does include "Ohio and Surrounding States" tho, so if someone is not in one of the immediate surrounding states does necessarily mean they can't post in this sub.
  7. Couple 7" totals just north of Springfield.
  8. Right after I made my post a little after 2am last night we went straight over to FR RN then plain rain a couple hours later, total snow might have hit 2". At 5am WPAFB reported thundersnow and I work near the base and there's at least 4" of heavy wet snow still on the ground here.
  9. Ditto, same here on the SE side of Dayton, some of the heaviest snow of the winter right now, very heavy flakes coming down in chunks, you can tell tho the end is near!
  10. Awesome post! I'm almost in the nowcasting mode with the radars lighting up SW of our region, someone could get thundersnow tonight in the I-70 corridor, similar to what you stated, rates could be like 3" per hour for very short times! To bad most of us will be fast asleep if it occurs!
  11. ILN doing the 2 to 4" thing again tmar night into Wed morning. Similar to your '99 event I remember one from the last week of December close to 1990 where Cincy got a foot from a front end dump, Dayton about 5" before the warm front made it thru to drizzle. A bunch of guys from work where skiing at Perfect North that night loving life until they tried to go home and got stuck in their cars the whole night!
  12. Ok you have proved you're incapable of getting peoples "Obvious Point" in their posts. Let me explain another one for you, last month when I said 'blizzard of '19 in Boston' is was meant to be funny as I could potentially be fighting the bad weather conditions if it happened on my trip since Boston hasn't had a bad winter storm all season. Then in my post yesterday the Point of my post (in which everyone on this forum who read it) was my boss was in Boston actually fighting the bad weather they had and NOT ME, and that is funny. Unfortunately you somehow latched onto the benign fact that Boston actually wasn't getting a blizzard or being crushed, but for someone from the Dayton Ohio region being in Boston during a bad winter storm trying to navigate 10 lane interstates in a rental car and that person is your (my) boss you missed!
  13. LOL, I made this reply to OHweather's post back on Jan 27th, and part of what he said is "It’s even worse in the Philly-NYC-Boston corridor where they’ve largely missed out the last two weeks (and Boston has been hilariously futile so far)." Guess what, I didn't have to go, but my boss did, and Boston is getting crushed today! HAHAHAHAAAA!!!! Hanscom AFB had early dismissal!...
  14. Snowing in the SE side of Dayton now.
  15. yep? around 1" late tmar, 1-3 more Sunday night? You can do the math if you like: OHZ062-101000- Greene- Including the cities of Beavercreek, Fairborn, and Xenia 619 PM EST Sat Feb 9 2019 ...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM MONDAY MORNING THROUGH TUESDAY AFTERNOON... .TONIGHT...Mostly clear. Lows 15 to 20. East winds around 5 mph. .SUNDAY...Partly cloudy with a chance of snow in the morning, then snow and freezing rain in the afternoon. Snow accumulation around an inch. A trace of ice accumulation. Highs in the mid 30s. Southeast winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation 100 percent. .SUNDAY NIGHT...Snow, rain and freezing rain likely in the evening, then freezing rain and snow likely after midnight. Total snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible. Ice accumulation of up to a tenth of an inch. Warmer with lows around 30. South winds around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation 70 percent.
  16. ILN calling for 2 to 4" tomorrow night into Monday morning in the Dayton area, then flooding again on Tuesday and again Thurs/Fri, Uuuuuggggghhhh!
  17. Only 2.75" IMBY, technically a bust for the 3 to 5" ILN raised our totals to last night
  18. How often in SW Ohio can you say "isentropic lift" at 11 degrees? and see it on the ground!
  19. Starting to snow in SW Greene Co now, kind of scary when it starts snowing when 'predicted'...
  20. Yep, it was one of the new winter items they announce recently. I think the big wrecks on I-75 from squalls last winter got them thinking about it.
  21. Ut oh, I have a business trip to Boston the week of the 11th, guess when their blizzard of '19 will hit!
  22. Wow, you know this is one b1+@# of a winter when we're supposed to have 1 or 2 inches of snow (and the 850 0z well south of the Ohio river) and the 2M temps STILL rise into the mid 30s and it rains in the middle of the night! oh well, its OHIO!
