I started to a little nervous about the gardens overnight, ended up with a low of 42/34. Not far from patchy frost territory

In case anybody hasn't figured out, I am a conservative.
It won't be my problem, since I'll be long gone.
never could have figured it out

100% agree. The planet is what about 4.5 billion years old, give or take a half billion. Just when exactly was the climate not changing?
To think we're going to change anything by driving around in plug in cars and silencing cow farts is absurd. Experiments to dim sunlight?
Yeah, that will end well.
Vibes over facts until the bitter end!!!

I realize it's not a trackable event, but does the constant snow cover do anything for you? I'm at 40 days for the season right now and 24 of the last 26 days since the 8 inches on Jan 19th. That and the sub zero days and the 28.9 inches so far at least makes this winter feel normal again unlike the last two atrocities.
Do you keep daily depth stats? It's been pretty patchy at times imby (today would have been a T for depth with mostly bare ground, for example). Definitely more deep winter appeal than the past several years, in any case

Hope nobody loses power. Everyone stay safe. This winter is a drag for me despite the continuous cold and small snow cover. Getting tired of these piddly snow events without a big one to celebrate. Nickling and diming our way to average snowfall. So dull. Definitely better than last year though. So many southern sliders this winter.
is Julian still here?
I'm around! Not much to add to what you said - my interest in these minor snowfalls has been suffering a little. It's nice to see frequent snow, but I'm not as motivated to comb through the soundings trying to figure out whether to expect 2" or 3.5". Overall I'm ready to move on to spring for the same reasons as you, especially if we can't get a bigger event to shape up.

It's running a couple degrees colder here vs. this time last night. Ended up at -8.5 this morning, so -10 is probably within reach tomorrow

2.5" of snow here! I can hear a couple white pine limbs snapping in the yard. Back to rain now with the lighter precip rates.

I looked at a couple Davis weather stations at Greenwood Lake. Both reported 0.00…it’s the season for clogged tippers. I have a debris screen in mine but it can still get fouled up, I cleaned mine out yesterday morning. The Meso location in Warwick reported .20.
I always feel bad about evicting the spider in the tipper
