  1. We need the rain. Reservoirs still low around here.
  2. It’s still a good block but the orientation matters. But this is only for the earlier period prior to 12/14 or so.
  3. Go to tropical tidbits and look at the EPS 500mb anomalies for the northern hemisphere view. I can’t post right now, but if you look at 00z (12z not out yet fully) you’ll see what I mean. https://www.tropicaltidbits.com/analysis/models/?model=eps&region=nhem&pkg=z500a&runtime=2022120300&fh=72
  4. It’s been wind driven rain for a while now here.
  5. Another thing I noticed is that the orientation of the block has sort of changed. It’s kind of elongated and a little further east, not this big circular mass squashing everything. Eventually it does retrograde, but I think the orientation isn’t helping as much either. This is just the initial stages, I’m not talking about after mid month.
  6. 18z could change to cutter again. Expect volatility.
  7. Fine to me. Climo is better second half and at least these give us chances. I’m cool.
  8. Jeez I didn’t think it was fugly. Looks good for many verbatim.
  9. Shows you how much I’ve been following lol. Cool.
  10. It’s always semi permanent in a Nina. But you’ve had plenty of snowy Nina’s.
  11. He’s worried his mtns may look like Honduras?
  12. I remember that melt for 12/12. I agree though. I’m not sweating it, but whatever happens happens.
  13. Just sit back, hop on that nice rocker in the cabin and relax. You’ll get yours. This isn’t last year.
  14. You’re in the mountains of Vermont. You’ll be fine.
  15. Yeah a bit more persistent-PNA/SE ridge. But regardless I do think mid month and beyond look pretty good and less shaky than the first half has looked. I’ve heard that line from many. I wouldn’t overlook that time around the 12th either. I feel like many ate pissed it’s not showing snow but every op run has been different. I wouldn’t write it off.
  16. GEFs has I think been better in pacific but has been waffling. I still think this favors interior and could be a fun pattern for them. I think coastal areas may have to wait a bit. We’ll see. Some models really have strong HP nosing in and have been hinting at coastal snow too.
