  1. It's been a quiet 10 years in the tornado dept. We've had several bursts of events producing EF1s-3s for sure. Haven't had a lot of violent ones though.
  2. I also read it has to be for those that produce Japanese beetles. Otherwise it does not work.
  3. LOL, I think Stein has moved towards jack fetishes like Powderfreak said. If it's not 3"+... We were flooding after the March nor'easter and water levels looked a bit lower than normal last week, but nothing crazy heading into yesterday. Looks fairly wet going forward. This week probably features lots of sct aftn shwrs/iso thunder.
  4. EVERYTHING is saturated these days. I was thinking the same, how did it look with the naked eye?
  5. Does seem like an overall wet pattern going forward.
  6. “Grubs have to eat milky spore for it to infect them, so the best time to apply milky spore is in early fall when grubs feed most actively. You can apply milky spore in spring and summer, as well, because grubs are present pretty much any time the ground isn’t frozen. The ideal soil temperature for milky spore is between 60 and 70 degrees. This is another reason why fall, when temperatures are cooler, is the ideal time for milky spore applications. “
  7. I reseeded a chunk of the yard so it’s perfect. Otherwise it’s washed away. I don’t need 3” of rain in April. Hopefully May is wet because last year Stein started then and didn’t look back.
  8. You got an inch. AWT. What’s wrong with that?
  9. Does it matter? Once those microbes get into the soil I thought you were good to go.
  10. Looks like about .9” will do it. Perfect for the lawn.
  11. Why do we need 3”’of rain? What’s wrong with half inch to an inch? In April no less.
  12. Things really slowed this week though.
  13. When May is dry, we struggle to keep up.
  14. We need stuff like this in May when stuff is really going. 2-3” in April just satisfies the stein tweets.
  15. It definitely has been dry. Not sure I’d say it’s very green here albeit early in season. Haven’t had much than a tenth or so since mid March until today.
  16. I’d argue that stuff has made weather seem less credible over the last decade. Nobody knows how to interpret icons. I hear it from my parents. “They said it was going to rain, or my phone says rain this afternoon..” Meanwhile it’s a cloud with a drop and a 30% chance. It’s like talking to George Costanza’s parents when I talk to my folks about that stuff.
  17. Might get a lot of low topped convection/graupel next several days after today.
  18. Or, look at models but toss it anyways in favor of what they want.
  19. That’s because the rain band isn’t near you. You’ll probably get half inch to an inch for sure. Besides you live on a spring.
