Not NE, but a rather fascinating event may be unfolding in the SW US. A possible PRE and then direct impacts from a tropical system. That's a lot of moisture for that region to handle.
Just speaking here...but models sort of showed that extended light QPF look from west to east as the flow from 850 and below becomes erly. It's like a cold season look lol.
Well CCKW can enhance or interfere with the wave. I just mean for a couple of weeks it looks to be fairly favorable. Only caveat I see is some subsidence perhaps in the MDR early September.
