    If you loop H5, you can see the flow is so meridional....even at times pealing back to the SSW because of the block. I do see Tippy's point though. In the long run we are screwing things up...but in this case, I think the block is just augmenting this issue. Maybe we have some undertones of CC baked in there.

    It's going to be so much colder than last winter by mid month and as of now, likely will have just an inch and change to show for it. More snow at that point last winter. Un-effing-real.

    That seems risky if there is a ZR issue. That happened at KBOS. They had 34F and ZR falling. Call me crazy, but the aviation industry might care about that lol. I actually had to let my former team know about that when forecasting. Hey no big deal, it's 34 and snow. Yeah, not really lol.

    I had way more posts in the earlier days. Being mobile also makes it easy too. I don't do FB or twitter really. This is it. I enjoy weather and interacting with the peeps on here. I just phucking hate the last three seasons.

    I remember that storm too. Parts of LI got like 20” in 8 hrs.

    Nah 1-3 at least coming on the 6th. Models always overestimate confluence.

    It’s location too. This is sort of on the south and west limitations.

    Haven’t seen much on the way of strong reports. Seems like 40-45 stuff.

    That would certainly help us out with better chances while keeping temps conducive.

    I feel pretty confident. Nothing looks warm and wet at that time. You can never rule out a cutter, but the overall look isn't warm and wet. At least around the 18th.

    I sleep with the fan on and my bedroom is in the low 60s.

    It doesn't look warm and wet after the 15th. That date though looks to be when the ridge will be retroing west which will help with snow chances.

    Maybe I'll just go up there with a handle of bourbon and just sit at the picnic tables.
