  1. Yeah I don't buy that rationale either.
  2. But the problem was the lack of QPF. It was cold enough.
  3. At least in 11-12 you knew it was hopeless throughout. This year is teasing enough to keep us interested with some snow down to the nrn high terrain of SNE. In 11-12...you had no hope. The teasing definitely irates me.
  4. I don’t see how this storm is any different than normal subseasonal stuff that results in pattern changes. Sounds like an easy way to point a finger, but it’s probably more complicated then one storm. I also caution how far out we are....pattern changes aren’t a complete lock....or should I say a favorable pattern change for us, is not a complete lock.
  5. That Storm was modeled well and guidance isn’t really forcing a big ridge there at the moment. I’m not sure something will miraculously change on guidance, but the massive +AO vortex will weaken a bit later this month.
  6. There is still that window of opportunity late month into early March. I haven’t seen that change. After this week we warm again until late month.
  7. I could deal with a few events sprinkled in, but starting since 12/17, every event has turned to poop. Virtually every single one.
  8. It just depends where you are. 11-12 was worse for snow verbatim, but I can’t think of a combo of warmth and lack of snow since mid December that anyone has seen. If anything your area may be ground zero for anomalously low snow during this stretch.
  9. Yea this is with the all timers for here. Even for interior, the lack of snow since early December is remarkable. I know once you get up to where Hunchie lives it’s been better.
  10. Stelwagen bank is 38 degree SST. First time under 40 all season I think. Looks like Boston harbor buoy taking after its ASOS brother.
  11. It was close to them at 6z too..lol. Same idea. Long, strung out system.
  12. Logan isn't as absurd in departure difference with the other 2 stations (PVD and BDL especially)this month, but last month is LOL. Jan 2020: BOS 9.1 BDL 6.9 ORH 6.7 PVD 6.8. Come on...lol.
  13. Yeah the data you posted looks strange. I just saw the 12z low and was scratching my head, but didn't really look. Tossed.
  14. Yeah winds never went calm either. Strange.
  15. Think so? Was wondering if they went calm.
  16. 9 here heading into work. Coldest this season.
  17. Nobody is locking that in. Just stating what it shows.
  18. Weenie sort of look on EPS. NE Canada ridging (better than -EPO) and split flow. AO weakens.
  19. I was wrong, 44.5. So basically this will be the first below normal season here since 11-12. I get we have more winter to go, but that’s where the signals are pointing. Remarkable run.
  20. The run we had from 12-13 through last year was awesome. Especially here locally. Lowest was 44.5” in 15-16. just about normal as lowest.
  21. Sample size is too weak, but Gloria and Bob followed crap winters.
