  1. After this weekend, that's it. Rebound and may turn warmer and more humid to end the month.
  2. And Jerry, good luck with retirement! I expect good measurements this winter....you'll have all the time in the world. LOL.
  3. Yeah that likely is early, even for a short POR. Nice. Green at 1500' death at 750'?
  4. Actually see ocean effect stratus to my east. CJ season is approaching.
  5. Weeklies look mild to start October. Coldest until Thanksgiving?
  6. It clearly was not a TS at the time. Every piece of data pointed to it. You also had buoys showing winds at hurricane force too. Based on his track record, he’s nothing more than somebody trying to be different and has done so in a foolish way.
  7. 62 but with a wind chill lol. Steady drop.
  8. Yeah radiative budget was positive, but that was more because of warming in upper levels. Opposite effect from volcanoes. https://agupubs.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1029/2019GL082360
  9. If soot gets into the high trop and stratosphere, it can have a net warming effect in the mid trop. So overall it may be a slight warming effect while keeping surface inverted with cooler than expected temps.
  10. Actually overall I read the opposite. I’ll find it.
  11. Strong CAA. It’s the windiest all day. Gust near 30.
  12. I guess particle size has to do with it. That’s what the experts say anyways. Can’t say I’m familiar with smoke forecasting lol.
  13. Got my answer. Apparently it won’t affect outgoing long wave radiation, but will have an effect on incoming shortwave radiation, which is what we have during the day.
  14. Starting to drop now. 69. Will smoke cause issues with radiating?
  15. Sally gone wild. Wasn't sure if it could, but we boom now.
  16. I don't remember 2005 other than the snow it gave up in the Whites. Yeah Noel was a good one too. You guys were sand blasted on the Cape..lol.
  17. We've had some nasty hybrid storms here. Oct 2017 and Oct 2019. Both storms had significant damage, but last year was more on the coast. Oct 2017 was fairly widespread.
  18. I know a lot of the country was warm, but we had our own weenie pocket.
