  1. Should lock in another AN Steintember.
  2. From yesterday and probably right through the 30th...we should put up some healthy + departures.
  3. Boy....installs and 2-ply coming back starting Sunday.
  4. I always found those stone walls rather fascinating. That must have been a hell of a job to do years ago when everyone owned 100 acres. Not to mention people were 4'10" tall.
  5. I can't keep track of what MPM has. He's basically a migrant.
  6. CO weekend seems to be peak near the lakes region anecdotally. I know up in the Whites it was becoming stick season at that time or close to it. Obviously some years it differed by a week or so.
  7. Euro op is trash. EPS looks decent for rains next week.
  8. That was wild. There was not much more than 40-50 West of the mesolow track which was literally just west of me into BOS and up 93. But man for about 1 hr it went nuts. Wife woke me up screaming we need to move the kids into our room and away from the oaks. Logan also gusted near 70. Lots of damage, maybe more than 2017 here. No school for my son. That storm also had big downslope wind for Ineedsnow.
  9. LOL. I’ll remember this when we are posting day 10 total Kuchera snow maps.
  10. I remember reading something about that. It's possible given a certain wavelength pattern and amplitude I think. I don't see why it can't be one of Tip's "constructive interference" type setup.
  11. Alright well I haven't been there much so I'm not sure...but for awhile there was a disdain for this area. People are just genuinely social and here to have fun and talk weather. Nobody is here to stir the pot except Kevin. I know the weenie humor got a little out of hand back then, but when true threats occur...that won't happen.
  12. You can easily have extra-tropical transitioning storms. In fact our two big Oct wind storms of 2017 and 2019 had tropical like entities with them. We basically had a category 1 in PYM county, Cape Cod, and Essex County last year.
  13. Definitely watch early October. Not only is it climo, but we should have a deep longitudinal trough at that time.
  14. That sucks, but I definitely have a respect for nature. I'm sure it was just a horrible accident.
  15. Phin has nicely adapted to some of the ball busting and side humor of this forum. I feel like the people in the MA hated us for that reason....felt it was a "boys club." I'm sorry people felt that way, but a lot of us have gotten to know each other. Until recently, we met up at bars, had some drinks and laughs...and weenied out to the Kocin book. Maybe it was the angst from all those years of New England getting snow, but it's a good forum with good people here.
  16. Weenies gone wild this winter. But honestly, 35 days out? Tracking the effects of Ray's fart permutations in the atmosphere has as much skill.
  17. Partial uninstallation of the downstairs A/C done yesterday. Will hold the ones upstairs in for dews next week.
  18. Yeah think we had problems at first in house.
  19. That's what I understood. If the euro guidance keeps coming in earlier and earlier with the upgrades they do...it's going to make the GEFS irrelevant.
  20. I still say we have some periods of rain for the next couple of weeks. Some are really having a tough time. If I am wrong, feel free to make fun of me, bump posts, tell me I suck...fine.
  21. GEFS will run to 35 days out at 00z. That will take forever though. Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I do think this new GEFS won't finish as early as it used to despite starting earlier. The stats do show an improvement and it would be nice for the GEFS to be more competitive with the EPS. I have not been impressed at all with both the euro op and ensemble this summer.
  22. Big GEFS upgrade today. Crazy to see the ensemble running just behind the GFS op.
