    The average of those are based on good patterns and bad patterns. We had a pretty good pattern, but we couldn’t buy a coastal which to me would be surprising if you told me that five months ago.

    I’d say we had snow on the ground quite a bit much more than usual.

    I’d say 1-3 range covers it. Somewhere in that range.

    Some models jack Southern, New Hampshire and far mass, and then others jack the pike region with that convective band. Just a weird system.

    That’s what I mean. I never said it wasn’t good. But given the pattern we had, I feel we left some on the table and that’s a little disappointing. But I’m not complaining about what we had.

    Meh many others commented too. If you told me coldest start to 96 and one good storm, I would have thought you were crazy. Never said it wasn’t good, but kind of yawn.

    I will say we had pretty much the various type of winter events from squalls, to inv troughs, to clippers, to SWFE. We just have not had a legit coastal.

    There’s actually a little MU CAPE pushing into NYC area this evening. I think that’s one factor boosting the precip in an otherwise mundane setup for SNE.

    Everyone is dropping their pants to this winter, but if you take the snow goggles off, it’s surprising we only had one good storm and that took a gulf low ramming into an arctic dome. Think about that for a second.

    Pretty much. It’s just not a good setup.

    Some models almost look like overrunning after any moderation. We hit the snooze button for a time after tonight. Then we’ll see how it looks after Monday or so.
