  1. Phase 2 is really weak on the NAM. Two runs in a row like this. It just never gets together. Shredded look.
  2. The 06z had it further north. But that was just that one run.
  3. The NAM front end burst is back to being north of the Pike to about central VT/NH west to east. Looks like 4-8 by Monday morning at 10:1.
  4. Did the 06z NAM jump north 50 miles or something? I just quickly looked at the frozen QPF and it looked vastly different than 00z.
  5. That's only part 1 right? The silly totals on the NAM were really with part 2 Monday night.
  6. I just realized that Pivotal added a handful of Euro products to their site. Hi-Res version too - really nice. It looks like just the 00/12z runs, but you can't argue with free.
  7. Is that as far as the 3k goes? It’s still snowing at 00z.
  8. It had almost everyone dry slotting until 5pm.
  9. Well there’s a 23.1 over my head, so I’ll just say, I hope it verifies
  10. This is what I have from Pivotal. Total 10:1 at 18z Tuesday.
  11. This doesn’t look right. It looks like 6z.
  12. If NAM verifies then BOX will need to redraw that MA/NH border sliver. Just absolutely goes nuts on part 2 for areas north of the pike.
  13. That little sliver of 8-12 along the MA/NH border is funny.
  14. You and I are on the same wavelength.
  15. You get a nasty letter and a small fine in my town. Most people’s “woods” are marked conservation here.
  16. Wow that’s handy if they actually come before the first plowable storm. I just push mine to the woods-line and then, under the cover of darkness, push it all into the woods. What leaves?
  17. Just letting everyone know. My landscapers haven’t come to do leaf cleanup yet. Given the chance of snow, I just went out there and did the bulk of it. So, with that, you can now expect overcast skies and a high of 40 on Monday. Sorry snow lovers.
  18. Looks like the GFS still calling for rain around sun-down? NAM looks clear. Both still show it being pretty breezy.
  19. It's pretty easy to test for chinch bugs. They have a little white star pattern on their back - you can google for it. Spray some water with some soap in it and trap some in a glass. If it is chinch, don't treat it yourself. Hire a good fertilizer company to come out and do it. They will use the correct amount and put you on a program. I had them when we first built our house, they absolutely will wipe out an entire lawn, weeds and all.
  20. I was going to ask if there is a sprinkler head basically right against the bed there. That looks like a fungal issue to me, and looks like the pattern of how a sprinkler head would water. July and early August are usually really bad for fungal growth because of the humid nights. Watering at 1am is pretty much the worst time you can water. How did this look when it first started? Was it smaller sections that joined together to make that larger section? Check this out and see if anything rings a bell. https://www.lawn-care-academy.com/lawn-diseases.html Tell-tale fungal signs are the mycelium in the morning dew. Good news is that you can fight most fungal issues through good maintenance practices (don't mow too short, water at good times, etc) and they are usually treatable with fungicide.
  21. My plan is to do my over-seeding on the 7th/8th of September.
  22. Had my dollar spot treated with a fungicide. It’s already starting to grow out pretty well. This is the second year in a row this has happened in mid to late July. Next year I may just do a preventative treatment in early July.
