  1. Far less experience and memory than most on tropical storm tracking, but when is the last time we had this kind of cluster of four named storms?
  2. Tonight Snow. Low around 8. Wind chill values as low as -10. North northwest wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Total nighttime snow accumulation of 3 to 5 inches possible. Washington's Birthday Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 20. Wind chill values as low as -10. North northwest wind 5 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Monday Night Mostly clear, with a low around 6. Wind chill values as low as -1. North wind 5 to 10 mph becoming light northeast after midnight. This forecast for my hometown of Austin (southernmost lower 48 capital city) is both extremely impressive and depressing. 5. Ok, I was planning for a family chase to decent snows for a couple nights, but now I am confused whether there would be much of a payoff anymore. Was thinking Rocky Gap state park for its pleasant surroundings. Worth it?
  6. The NWS point and click forecast has me down to 12 degrees tonight (Fair Oaks-Fairfax, VA). Could this possibly be right?
  7. Might want to change the title on this post to the correct dates; predicting things before they happen rather than after gives you more credit.
