Taking up drinking for lent. On a tequila kick lately. Sipping on the Casamigos attm...not horrible, but there are better if you are willing to spend the $

Have you tried some higher end mezcal? I love good tequilas, but man that smoke component in mezcal makes me a fan.

  2. I wish we all had the same passion for severe storms as we do for snow. Since King Dumbo (I mean Babar) reigns supreme now in these parts, might as well embrace it all. Snow is not normal anymore, but vicious summer storms certainly are. Not sure how I’ll Jebwalk in them, but I’ll figure that shit out over time. Just need a few more Friday beers in me…

Serious question for the old timers. Does anyone remember a thunderstorm at 36 degrees? I dont and the Shit is crazy.

Man. If only that had been a thundersnow deal. But shit. As I type this. Got a HUGE flash and bang. Wow!!

Eta….because I was drinking at Other Half Brewing (half the day) today.

As usual another shite last week of February

We had a good run…I guess. Praying that before next winter the largest black hole ever discovered (7 light years wide - please go ahead and look it up—it’s legit—ask Australia) just swallows us whole and spits us out on the other side into a new base state. Let’s just go ahead and for fun….let’s call it…base state…Dumbo?  Babar is an idiot and can go fuck himself. I will now go see myself out and into a deep hibernation until awoken by the first storm thread of the new black hole millennium. So many jokes in there, so little time. And yeah. I swear. It was just beers—and a few meads.

Kinda, sorta, maybe not? I just wanted to post a claw. I apologize in advance.

It’s 1:14am and you’re with a bunch of weather weenies trying to find white gold for just a few minutes in life. Never apologize for the claw.

  6. Man good thing I didn’t break out the special beers. Was hoping for an all nighter, but uhhhhh yeah. Think I’m outtie shortly if I don’t see some yellows heading my direction soon. Whatever. As JI said—stupid hobby, but damn it I’ll be here over and over and over again. Next Friday we try again??

    ETA—At least I’m on the board…

Hate to say it, but kudos to the HRRR/RAP combo for sniffing this out basically since 14z runs. They are going to hit the nail on the head for here and basically hit the northern band in PA, to a degree.

Im not a HRRR disciple by any means, but it can be useful for trends in certain setups. It struggles with southern stream disturbances and does better with NS systems. I think convection within SS disturbances causes chaos in the model. Would be interesting to study.

My forecast earlier was terrible and I really forced what I showed everyone here. I didn’t have a good mental day today, so seeing it snow nicely helped bring up my spirit. Depression sucks, that’s all I have to say.

Have a good night everyone. Enjoy the snow, whatever falls. Truly a treat.

If only we had a heart and hug emoji here…

Just looked outside. Blowing snow curtains going on here.

Oh and I am listening to my Pandora Thunderstorm station so pretending I have thunder snow.

I have a playlist on Apple Music of nothing but thunderstorms. I like to go running to it in the warmer months. My per minute mile time drops significantly when I feel like I’m about to be hit by a bolt of lightning.  Anyway—where is my HoCo thunder snow!?
