  1. 41.7 was the precise temp at my house for the low this morning...
  2. It doesn't work. Wherever I am, the cold shall be there, too...
  3. Is this really going to be the theme for this summer? I almost seems as though it's a pattern we're going to keep for the foreseeable future... AND I HATE IT!!!
  4. Just a testament of how windy it was today. I recorded my highest peak wind gust so far on my station today at 23.9 mph. Due to my sheltered location, I very rarely record a peak gust over 20 mph.
  5. I said to my wife that minus color in the trees, it looks and feels like mid October.
  6. It wasn't me... But I am tired of lows in the 40s during the summer.
  7. It hit the I-81 ridge and flat out died. I'm not sure why I expected a different outcome when this exact scenario plays out storm after storm after storm. It's really getting old...
  8. It's a dying storm. I'm watching it fall apart on radar now...
  9. Future radar @ 11:20pm. I'll believe it when I see it...lol
  10. I was outside about 15 minutes ago and there appeared to be a lot of lighting in it as I could see the faint, distant flashes from my backyard.
  11. Can easily tell where the core of the posters are when there is severe or interesting weather around. Not a peep about the one up by Bloomsburg except by me. It looks interesting, but it's not warned and no one lives out/up there to give obs or analysis.
  12. I'm keeping an eye on the northern storm that's approaching Bloomsburg. Of course no one's talking about that one, but I see some (hopeful) potential for that to hold together and drop down here and give me a show like you guys in HBG are seeing now. It's been years since I've seen a storm like you guys are describing.
  13. Thanks MAG! Looking at current radar, the storms and precipitation are practically evaporating east and north of Sunbury. Unless some new activity forms, it looks like what's left of that line goes southwest of me. Maybe I'll see some "heat lightning"...
  14. My guess is that it'll be like this morning. Four flashes, two booms, and about a quarter inch of rain...if I'm lucky. This year is REALLY making me HATE living on the eastern side of the state. Back door fronts, CAD, poor instability due to persistent cloud cover, and whatever else....
  15. $64 question. Does any of it have a chance to make it to the eastern portion of State College's CWA or am I shit out of luck over here. The overcast just doesn't want to give up it's grip here.
  16. Accu-Weather future radar, for what it's worth, has the line dying out along the US220 corridor between State College and Williamsport by 7:00pm.
  17. That's the thing. The summers of my youth usually consisted of a period of 90s followed by a week front and then a dop back to about 80 degrees, and then repeat. This current pattern is more like a winter pattern with a strong front followed by a wrapped up maritime low and a tight gradient.
  18. I'm at the farthest east extent of the watch and under cool and overcast conditions. Not sure I'm going to see anything significant.
  19. Yup. I pointed that out earlier. The FV3 was the most robust of all the models a couple hours ago.
  20. And if I were working, I'd have driven right through that. I've been off all week. My wife had a stroke Sunday afternoon and has been in the hospital since then. It was fairly mild, only affecting her right leg, but her weakness is enough that she needs to go to a rehab facility for a week or two.
  21. Just perused the models, and the meso's all seem to fringe me again later. Some of them give SCPA a decent hit, but not up/over here. Only the FV3 Hi-Res gives me anything good.
  22. We'll see. This afternoon's festivities will tell the tale...lol
  23. And every one of them circled around Tamaqua giving us a fringe job. Amazing.
  24. Nice 5am wake up call this morning. Scattered storms around eastern Schuylkill this am. One loud crack here, but now some heavy rain...
