Interesting question. It seems my (our) afternoon highs are higher than some of our friends to the south. My overnight lows run cooler, though. I just looked and it's 63 in Tamaqua.

High was 93 in Tamaqua as well. Here in Oklahoma, it was 103 when I parked at the motel.

Up and at 'em in Cloverdale (west of Indianapolis) Indiana this morning. Stroud, Oklahoma is on my radar for tonight. Current temp here is 68 degrees.

Well, this morning starts my new adventure. Heading out in a few minutes for the 2,300 mile journey out to Phoenix. Anyone who follows me on YouTube, in a week or two there will be some videos documenting the trip. There won't be much sightseeing, though. I'm a man on a mission, so a lot will be road footage like my trucking vlogs.

The 06z HRRR dumps 2.30" on me by Tuesday morning. Waiting to see what the nooners show, but some of the models seem to want to put me in the jackpot zone.

87 for the high here, but with the lower humidity and a breeze it was comfortable...for me, anyway.

Driving. Flying seems to be quite the adventure right now, not to mention the covid risk with being in airports and on the plane. The other issue is that since my mom's "caregiver" abandoned her, I'd have to Uber or rent a car to get from the Phoenix airport to the house as I wouldn't have a ride like I had on past trips. The weather station will remain active in Tamaqua.

So my schedule is to arrive at my mom's house in Phoenix on Friday. Here's the weather forecast for both locations... Tamaqua: Friday: A chance of showers. Mostly sunny and hot, with a high near 94. Chance of precipitation is 40%. Sun City: Friday: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 99. Southeast wind around 5 mph becoming west southwest in the afternoon.

It would probably happen. I was freezing at a truckstop in Palm Springs that February a few years ago when you guys hit 80. It's my general luck...lol
