    Any room in here?

Seems the western half of the Triangle has cashed in on a few events recently. Charlotte unfortunately remains a battle-line.

Maybe I shouldn't have moved lol

Just dont move to south charlotte/union county.  Even when charlotte cashes in, we get nothing.  Basically always below the snow line...atleast we have been for the 6 years ive lived here

I am in Mooresville and there is no way we get to that 7-10 inches. It was snowing and is now flipping between snow and sleet. We will be lucky to get 2 or 3 unless something changes in a hurry.

Theyll continue pushing those high amounts north and west as the night goes on id bet

important point.  Temperatures get above freezing around lunch time tomorrow and never go below freezing Sunday night.  Lots of melting to be had.  Monday morning may not be all that bad on the roads.  Tuesday morning could be worse with refreeze.

If thats true, then why is he expecting so much ice throughout the day tomorrow?

You positive?  Not to sound like a jerk.  My back table is getting a coat of sleet as well.

Haha. Yeah. Ive got a coat of sleet as well...nary a snowflake though. Had my back window open and lights on since 7. You can hear some sleet mix with the rain...but there aint no snow

First of all. Dang Fish. He upped the totals. 2nd we have a lake house in Denton NC on High Rock. I can see little tiny flakes fly by here and there in the security cam. Not bugs.

Lol, wral is so weird man...you never know what to expect from them

So funny, brad P has 2-4 inches for north charlotte and fish is going with 6-10...

Sounds about right since in a straight line I’m probably not more than a mile away.  As we all know every mile counts in this area.

It’s also changed quickly.  I posted wind changes which correlate well to increase in sleet.  Was a lot of rain and sleet and some wet snow.  Almost no rain now, maybe none and just wet snowflakes.  This is 2-3 hours ahead of when HRRR and others showed the mixing line reaching here so I’m looking forward to what’s to come.

Im literally 45 seconds from where you posted you are and its nothing but a hard rain...

So weird, was out and about in Southpark all afternoon, and saw no sleet. Don’t even think we have that now. Went outside to check the smoker and sounded a little ‘pingy’ But didn’t really see any sleet.

Im right off of monroe rd. Just south of matthews. Went out for dinner around 530 and it was prolly 50/50 sleet and rain all the way up to sardis rd north

also, Fishel and WRAL seem to often speak as if their entire audience lives in Wake County and Raleigh. The microclimates of Chapel Hill, Durham, and Person County often are a total different world during winter events.

Im from person county...trust me...the people there know to add a couple inches atleast to whatever wral calls for.

I'm really trying not to have a complete meltdown at the moment. Only GSP's forecast for the metro area and points north is keeping me from throwing in the towel. I don't even know why I get emotionally invested at this point. Hoping for winter weather in CLT is like cheering for the Browns. Although, actually, the Browns are showing some promise this year.

Haha, ive lived in the CLT area for 8 years now.  There hasnt been one storm where there wasnt a world of speculation about what was going to happen just hours before it happened.  There have also been more storms that busted than actually produced.  Its just this area...you are always going to be riding the line.  Always
