What do you think about hrrr being so cold, usually it's both nam And hrrr that sniff it out.. 12/2020 comes to mind where nam and hrrr nailed that warm layer way north
It took longer than expected but the north shift is here! NAM is starting to be concerning bc it's not doing the normal nap flip flop HREF and RGEM are warm as well.. It's really GFS EURO and HRRR vs the NAM and RGEM
That’s only euro, obviously the off hour euro run last night was wrong and did it again, those off hour runs can’t be trusted. Weird battle going on with nam inside 24 hours and everything else even rgem is pretty toasty..
GFS thumps southern CT hard just after midnight tomorrow well before the mid levels warm we'd do several inches before any changeover easily.. let me check how horrible the growth is on that look. HRRR actually has great snow growth with 1-2" per hour rates at 10:1 .. I wonder if we over perform with the thump intensity and end up mixing earlier as usual and still get around 6" anyways...
Not even close to the NAM lol forecast remains exactly the same 4-8” probably closer to 4-6” but like to leave the 8” in there just in case the thump over-performs.
