  1. It’s fine. They torch there in the well mixed desert. You can’t accept the temps higher than everyone, but toss the dews lower than everyone. I’d be curious to see what the grass looks like around the ASOS right now. Lowest dews in the CRV this afternoon... BDL 61 HFD 63 CEF 63 BAF 64 It’s in the valley ballpark.
  2. Yeah it’s been running faulty. It looks OK right now though. 96/66
  3. They ran higher than expected versus eastern areas in the last heat wave too.
  4. 91F so far Lots of 94s in NH, but no one has hit 95F yet.
  5. 18z highs PVD 97 BDL 96 HFD 96 BAF 96 PYM 96 BOS 95 EWB 95 OWD 95 HYA 95 Looks like TAN has failed.
  6. BTV and LEB with a higher HIX than BDL. You hate to see it.
  7. Yeah a lot of 34C out there. GHG up to 36C with TAN now too. 89.5/72 at home
  8. A bunch of unmemorable heat days adding up to a memorable heat summer?
  9. There's a front going through on the 12z NAM, but it's pretty weak. More of a weak moisture boundary than any temp difference. Probably more near 90F temps for SNE Wed since there's little CAA and the drier W flow let's us heat up a bit more. Then it has the dews advecting right back in later on Wednesday. So yeah, maybe it ends up hanging up even more somewhere near the south coast.
  10. Probably 96F as of now, but they'll be close. There's a hot pocket there with 95F at PYM and GHG too. Very meh elsewhere. BOS 91F and BDL 93/64 is so weak.
  11. heh...HYA 94° TAN 92° is next highest for the METAR sites.
  12. 89/67 at 11a. WSW 10kt. Hot but we need to do better than that for 100°. Get that wind veered another 20-30° and crank it up.
  13. HYA does seem to be 2-3F too warm based on all obs in the area. The 2nd highest in Barnstable is a 91F at a Sandiwch HADS site.
  14. Something happened with MADIS around that time though. I'm not sure if the algorithms got changed or if another data network came online, but I do know there's been some issues since then. I'm not sure how well it's maintained anymore.
  15. I wonder if something happened to coastal obs last September on MADIS. PWM has a similar drift. I think there's some MADIS error there.
  16. I'm at work being very productive. Nice ob from CON on July 5, 1990 before a front. 85F at 2am. CON,1990-07-05 06:00,KCON 050600Z 24009KT 5SM SCT120 OVC250 29/22 A2955 RMK OCNL DSNT LTG SW/ SLP004 8/078 T02940217 403280194 57005
  17. And it looks like PWM actually has done an 80+ night before. That torch night going from the heat/dews on 7/21 to the dry 100s on 7/22.
