getting pretty close to the event for ensembles, but that being said, there is still some spread between members in regards to snow amounts around central PA.
I've lived here my entire 55 years of my life and trust me, you can never ever feel confident about a snowstorm in central PA until it's on the ground.
wow, that's some stat. I would have never thought multiple double digit storms in one winter are all that rare in central PA, especially out that way. seems the last 10 years or so the big ones have def
initely hit more south and east areas.
I guess my bar is set higher than most in here when it comes to ranking snowstorms. I would classify them as follows:
less than 3" minor/nuisance
3-6"" moderate
6 -12" significant
12-20" major
20-30" crippling
30-40" historic
anything above 40" biblical
