  1. So the monster storm it had at the end of the month is gone? I'm shocked, shocked I say!
  2. I've been lucky a few times and had some spectacular weather, but you are correct that the cool, misty, drizzly days are so quintessentially English. Definitely taking a risk going over in late February/Early March. Did you get out to the Peak District when you were in Manchester? 45 minute train ride from Manchester to Edale, get off the train and it is a 10 minute walk to the start of the Pennine Way . . . and of course you pass by 2 pubs along the way!
  3. Hopefully to celebrate City's third straight Carabao Cup Title at Wembley! Also going to the Manchester Derby the following weekend. Oh yeah, congrats on finally winning the Premier League after 30 years! Just kidding, they've had an incredible season. Cheers!
  4. Heading to Manchester and London at the end of the month, so this is just getting me ready for what's in store! Maybe I'll get lucky and find an early English spring, if there is such a thing.
  5. Heard a little pinging during the night, and then got up at 5:20 to 33F and rain with a wee bit of slush on the grass. So typical for this winter. Give me a blizzard or give me a torch . . . but I'm not expecting either.
  6. Just in case it never snows again, here is what winter used to look like. 5 years ago today, and there was plenty more on the way.
  7. Canceled soccer matches today in England, Belgium and Netherlands. That doesn't happen often. Wind damage and flooding in England with lots of rail service shut down. Glad I didn't pick this week to make the trip. Sent from my SM-T510 using Tapatalk
  8. Have power here in Randolph, but 98% of Stoughton is out! Sent from my LG-M322 using Tapatalk
  9. Yeah, already down to 54. Winds SW38 G55!
  10. OWD at 3:00 59F 970.5 (28.66) S28 G48 Springtime in the swamp, but will it still be warm when I get off the train in Westwood in an hour!?
  11. Now is the winter of our discontent Made glorious summer by this sun of York; And all the clouds that lour'd upon our house In the deep bosom of the ocean buried.
  12. It is severe season, so I'd go with cool, damp with an east wind and 60% chance of sheet drizzle. How's PSV Eindhoven doing this season?
  13. Now batting . . . Mario Mendoza . . .
  14. Down to 62 now after high of 71 in the backyard. Love Springuary! Sent from my SM-T510 using Tapatalk
  15. 66 and windy under partly cloudy skies. We spring clean! Sent from my LG-M322 using Tapatalk
  16. Any thoughts on start time? I drive down route 24 to Warren, RI on Tuesdays to bowl in a 9:00 league. We finish about 11, and I'm not a fan of driving up 24 in the snow!
  17. Didn't realize Pep was a weather geek. I'll have to have a chat with him over a pint when I'm there in March!
  18. Has today's snow squall threat fizzzzzled too? Haven't had a chance to look at anything this morning, but seems pretty dead in here.
