  1. Have you EVER Seen such a Perfect example of "When it's Great here, it's Sucking Somewhere else...".  Boulder, CO.... RECORD Snowfall!!

We've broken the seasonal snowfall record in Boulder! A whopping 151.2" of snow has fallen this season (as of 6 PM April 16). Here's the Top 5 since records began 1898. #COwx

The forecast for the event ending early this morning was nearly flawless, however, the topographical influences across western New England were not accentuated enough. Thus snowfall around Bristol and Canton, CT was under forecast. The balance of the region verified exceedingly well, as this was one of the better efforts of the season.

WELL Done Ray!  I went to that 5.8" region last night.  There was only 3" left with the rain (So I MISSED the Snowfall), but to see 3" and Drift in the car was great.

AHHHH!!!!  My Mom keeps worrying about them being out because she got Lyme Disease, and I kept thinking they Can't be out THIS early.  MY GOD!!  Another Scary thing to think about!

  4. There's a Snowstorm Potential?  All I see is High's in the 50's for a week.  :(  And I averaged 21" the last 3 March's.

Do Remember guys - I HAVE NOT SEEN IT SNOW AND ACCUMULATE ON THE GROUND ONCE THIS WINTER!!!!  I Repeat!!  Have NOT Seen it Snow and Accumulate.  ONCE!!

  5. This is right now #2 for THE KING for Worst Winter of All-Time.  Beating even 2006-2007.  2011-2012 will never be matched because not only did we get Little Snow, OR that half the snow fell in October, but for God's sake we had MORE Tree damage from that than Every Hurricane in my lifetime.  So I couldn't even enjoy the 1 storm, plus it melted so quickly since it was October, AND there were sticks and branches and trees all over it.  That winter will Always be #1, unless we get a winter with a Total of Less than 10" with less than 3 storms.

  6. December 3-5, 2003 was 22" for me over 44 Hours, which is similar to this storm, but that was 22" Total and it was still 20" compact.  The first storm where I used my favorite shovel that I STILL use.  I can still remember the piles!  Vividly on that one!

That was 5X better than this one.

  7. Is this Fujiwawa 2013 #2!?

As far as the 24 hour Radar goes back (Love Weather.Cod), it's from THERE until 9 Hours later that NE Rhode Island gets almost no Snow.  HOW does RI Snow Hole this happen??  Still I think I'm at 11" from my spotters back in Cumberland.  But How, HOW DOES this Happen!!  Look at that Radar!

  8. 11” Total.  The Worst Number.  I need a Foot.  NEED it for the Stats.

Do we count this as 1 storm though?  Like factually?

6.75”, Compacted to 2.5”, then 4.25” Part 2 = 11”, But its compacted to Under 6”.  CLASSIC Storm where if you do not use the 6 Hour Rule you’d Never know what you have.

  9. PERFECT Storm Example of why people need to LEARN How to measure snow.  I Barely have 3" in Cumberland, but my Total is 6.75" with a chance of hitting a foot by Storms end.

    - 2” from 4pm to 10pm
    - 4.25” from 10pm to Changeover to Rain
    - 0.5” since Changeover back to Snow.
    - Total = 6.75"
    - The 6 Hours of Rain overnight pushed 6.25" down to 2.75"/3".  People would just wake up and measure that after going to bed with 2" on the ground and think they only got 1".

  10. The only Ski area around here is Wachuuuuuusett right?  Passing just North.  Looks like a lot up T-Rex Footprint.

Still Calm.  Ray said a month ago “As soon as we hit December it looks good.”  Well; he’s done it again.

  11. I just made a 5 second time lapse leaving Logan but the file is too big.  Beautiful night.  Flying over Will’s head now.

    HI WILL!!!!

I’ll be you guys’ Personal Weather Ballon.  Still Calm through 15,000 feet.

25.8F  Light snow grains.  Vis about 1 mile    4" should be about storm total.

Good job NWS Gray for forecasting 4" in my hood.  Snow was dry and snowblowing a breeze.  Temps 21-25F during snowfall.

Now we head into mud season up here.

With todays 4" brings me to 92" on the season.   My seasonal average is probably 80-85".   As of this Wednesday, we will have had a constant snowcover of 4 months except for a short period around Christmas.  Very long season.

Can someone explain how it’s been one of the Worst and warmest winters EVER here in SNE, and just a little into NH it’s an Above-Average Season with Great Cover????
