South GA is going to have a monster storm to contend with this evening. I hope those guys are ready for inland hurricane conditions......

It was Irma. Opal in 1995 is the October hurricane that caused tremendous damage to N. GA. Michael is similar but seems to be tracking a bit farther east or where Opal did.

NWS says for ATL to expect TS conditions. We will see I’m skeptical. I may even take a quick ride down to S. GA and see this sucker move in inland.

ATL area needs to route for the east trends to stop if you want to get in on the action. I dont see much interesting weather on the west side of this storm. Michael will end up pulling down some nice dry dewpoints from the west though.

Classic October hurricane track. I like that we finally have some interesting weather for north GA. Also it’s prety clear that Michael will bring the pattern change we have all been looking for. Rain, wind, and finally some crisp DPs are on the way!!!!

Forecast for 92 today. Record high is 95 set in 1954. What a brutal early October that year was! I’ve lived here most of my life and I’m 37. I can’t remember a hot stretch that lingered into what appears to be mid October. Enough is enough where the fook are the crisp dew points.

What a “doomsday” scenario shaping up for the SE coast. Seriously starting to get chills. This storm behaved exactly as needed to get into striking position. The massive weakening Florence experienced is a huge reason she’s back with a vengeance so far south.

I’m taking the motorcycle up into the GA mountains tomorrow. Have plans in October to ride the tail of the dragon at Deals Gap, NC. You guys have some amazing scenery up there in the highlands. -
I’d like a wall to Wall cold ass winter for once. It would mean little motorcycle riding time but hey it would be pretty epic.

Hi guys, I went with a smaller garden this year. My tomato plants are massive this year. My pepper plants have just recently started going ape **** too. I’m looking forward to harvesting the first batch of everything in the next week or so.

Welcome to GA. Reverse the summer and winter durations you’re used to. We get six month summers 50-60 days of 90+ heat is common. Record set not long ago at 90 days in one year over 90 and we get 1-2 months of winter the rest of the year tends to be gorgeous.
