Helene is a big girl. 5 pm advisory bumped her speeds to 50. Smarter people than I are seeing signs of potential rapid intensification. No matter the speed, the size of this storm may bring some ramifications to places like Tampa Bay.

Every storm except for Beryl has struggled this season but the wind shear is almost non-existent with this set-up currently and the Gulf is basically a pool of boiling piss. Assuming the approaching front doesn't suck the energy out of it, this has a chance to get to the 150s.
