Just watched a video of a guy who built his "forever" home in Mass using solar and geothermal and big batteries. He is producing more electricvity that he uses (including for his car) and over 30 years expects to save $300k once his investment is paid off. Pretty unique situation. Took advantage of a lot of tax credits, rebates, etc.
