  1. Simulated radar looks a bit better. Positive snowfall still is paltry here in N ORH county (1-2") but icing looks annoying
  2. My biggest fear in skiing is the "other guy". A 200+lb missile hurtling down the slope in a possibly uncontrolled manner. I have had many near misses. I also can't believe how many people still don't wear helmets (not that they are infallible) On the plus side, I have just finished my 10+th (have lost count) year of running my school's ski club. Sometimes up to 40 kids. No serious injuries since I've been the coordinator (not that I have any control over that).
  3. Even WaWa prices are close to $100 during prime periods. It’s bad.
  4. Meh. Other sports (soccer, football, basketball) have more chances of injuries. Although yeah, a terrible ski accident happens on occasion. I’m risk adverse but feel that I am safe in the slopes as are my wife and children (now both adults). the drive to the mountain is often the most dangerous part. And for me personally, putting on and taking off my boots in the parking lot is when I tend to get injured
  5. A 2 hour school delay would be nice due to icing.
  6. Better than yesterday. Hope it trends snowy
  7. Still holding out hope the GFS has a clue. Would be a net gain here. The window is closing though.
  8. I’m calling for the Euro to gradually cool each run until we get to a 32.5F all rain event.
  9. BOX p-n-c still has me at 2-4" snow, thensleet and freezing rain. Probably similar to Thursday
  10. Paltry qpf... 0.2-0.3" before the temps rise. Another 0.1-0.2 after it warms up
  11. 2-3" of mostly rain this weekend on the King GFS is a bit below that
  12. Euro gives 1-2" (lollies to 2.1") and rain/zr
  13. I don't want to go all Wankum, but with it mostly happening at night, will that help at all?
  14. ICON shoots above freezing towards the end of the precip, but the amount is very paltry... barely even nuisance level
  15. 06z GFS continues to give advisory levels snows to parts of SNE before changing
  16. Yeah... I wouldn't say no to that. I do wish it wasn't alone in that depiction among the more solid players
  17. I’m thinking they weigh the GFS OP heavily.
