Seeking advice: Our son was driving to his internship this morning. He got sideswiped into a guardrail His (my) car is 12 years old. 170k miles on it but was still in good shape. Probably totaled. He was unhurt as far as we can tell The other driver was driving a truck for a seafood company (not amarshall lol) and had a suspended license. State trooper was not happy. The other driver admitted it was his fault and was offering our son money (not that he had it) to make it go away. Very sketchy Do we just let the insurance co do it’s thing or do we hire an attorney?

Also, DESE ( the Mass education board) announced they will not be required for middle school and high school students and staff. They will make a decision for elementary students this summer.

I’m curious how different things will look in a week, then a month. Then two months. Some people might always wear them I guess. I would consider wearing them at work during the peak of flu season maybe. But prob not. I mentioned I might wear them mowing the lawn when pollen or dust are high. I am glad to be done with them personally

As we approach June 1 I figured I would start up a freshly baked banter thread.

Went to the local Price Chopper. Brought a mask but did not wear it until I got to the checkout. Prob 60/40 mask vs no mask. I put the mask on at the checkout because the cashier is an older lady and she was wearing a mask. They are not required to and I wanted her to feel more comfortable. She has been there for years and we struck up a friendship during the pandemic. She is all vaxxed as well but still didn’t feel confident enough to go without. I felt self conscious not wearing one but it wasn’t a big deal. Helped in the produce aisle opening the stupid thin film bags. Lol
