  1. Some businesses (cruise lines for example), might insist on some documentation. For them it makes financial sense.
  2. I think we will be ok if we can get 60-70% vaccinated. Between that and the number of previous infections we should be good. I am an internet epidemiologist
  3. Boston basically skunked for March for 2 years in a row 0.1" for this year...zero last year That is a record (albeit a weird one)
  4. Our email seems to be out but internet and phone are fine... not sure if related to winds, but I doubt it
  5. The tetanus one always knocks me for a loop. And my primary care loves giving that one to me. Not sure why.
  6. I know we will never really get to zero cases / zero deaths, but right now the US is averaging over 60k new daily cases (last 7 days) and over 1000 deaths per day. Still too high on both for me. 1000 per day is 365,000 per year which is 6x worse than a bad flu year. Round 2 of Pfizer coming up on Wednesday
  7. Not a peer reviewed study, but an article linking some studies https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jama/fullarticle/2777785
  8. Aren’t the power walls hard to come by right now?
  9. Calm here now. I’m sick of the winds
  10. Probably just my perception. I don’t have any data. It just felt like we have had a bunch of higher wind events since last summer/early autumn.
  11. To which I ask you...have we been getting more wind events that normal? And if so...Hadley?
  12. Mass schools #1. Winning. Lol. I think Maine has a good balance. Lower taxes. High quality of life
  13. Silly question...but have the last 6 months or so been windier than normal? Is there any way to track that? Looking at another windy day and night today. Gusts near 50. Getting a bunch of events like that
  14. Mass has been doing well vs many other larger states with getting shots in arms. The websites etc have been very frustrating for many though And where has Bob gone? And Nick from Nova Scotia?
  15. Wachusett closing tomorrow and hoping to reopen on Friday for the weekend. They took quite the hit in the last week. Looks pretty bad
  16. Wachusett is using the grooming data. It seems reasonable for the middle of the trails. But you can definitely tell where spots are lower near the edges and near poles etc. still a neat use of technology
  17. April being April. While I would prefer snow, this has been a pretty sweet month overall.
  18. Possible tornado touchdown in VT earlier today? nevermind. Discussed in the NNE thread
  19. When I was a kid (10-14 years old??) we were visiting Bowdoin College for some reason. A severe storm rolled through and we were sheltering under some overhang. A giant flash and instant boom and a large bolt hit a big tree about 50-100 feet away. Bark and wood scattered everywhere. I kept a chunch of the bark for some reason for many years. Big pine
  20. 71F off a high of 72F. The last of my snow is gone but still some out in my neighborhood
