  1. I can’t believe how brown and crisp parts of my lawn are. Other parts in shaded areas are fine.
  2. Like Amarshall said it flips the water. Brings the cold stuff up from deeper waters (I guess?)
  3. Right. Understood that. The article that Noyes did shows it well
  4. Not sure where they are measuring but supposedly coastal waters near Newport RI are at 72F today
  5. We were at Second in Middletown. We did feel the wind change suddenly and the clouds kinda messed up the day. I was watching sat and radar thinking it might even rain. Cleared out decently as we were leaving to drive through Newport (our daughter had a friend who had never been there)
  6. Yeah. We saw lifeguards pulling a few kids out of the surf several times before they closed part of the beach to swimming. Can’t imagine doing that job
  7. Those 2m temps would smash many all time SNE records. Selling but worth watching
  8. Any idea what was causing that surf yesterday? Had not seen that in July at that beach. Not that I’m there very often. They closed part of it for swimming due to rip currents
  9. 58:56 here. AC shutting down finally
  10. Heading to Middleton today for some beach.
  11. ORH briefly had dews down to 64 before the rain came. RH went to 51%. Pretty muggy here though.
  12. I was outside at a brewery and in my pool and on our screen porch for much of yesterday afternoon. Dews at ORH bounced between 60 and 62 yesterday. It was hot dry air for sure. Blast furnace. But I tolerate that much better than 80/73 which it is currently at. We each have our druthers Edit. It also barely touched 90 here which is quite different than 98
  13. Just walked the dog on her loop. What an oppressive morning. Between the humidity, staleness, and deer flies this is my least favorite weather. Yesterday was pretty enjoyable actually
  14. A bit of lightning to my W/NW as that line approaches. A little rain would help
  15. The airport is several hundred feet higher in elevation than downtown and is largely surrounded by wooded areas
  16. Not sure about that (the Worcester reading). It has been prettY stable
  17. Yeah. Worcester has trouble getting over 90. I know Will (ORHwxman) knows the stats off the top of his head but I don’t think they have ever hit 100F
