  1. You posted something from The Daily Loud. Is that a trusted media source? Lol
  2. Jurassic Park ride at Universal in Orlando
  3. A few days ago I didn't expect it to be a cat 4/5... I expected very high storm surge and freshwater flooding by copious rain. The winds will add loads to the misery
  4. My coworker's parents who were in Ft Meyers were able to evac to Miami last night
  5. For now. Still getting more intense. Might hit land before it reaches a 5 but wow
  6. Looks like it is moving a bit slower as well? (or at least modelled to?)
  7. She has tried to talk them into leaving. They have metal surge shutters or something similar but I fear for them
  8. My coworker’s parents are in Fort Myers and did not evacuate. I don’t understand that if you have the means. They are pretty close to the water
  9. On the Pivotal GFS total qpf map I looked at. Hover over the area and it will give you amounts
  10. I think 25-50 is the next shading on NWS maps? Pivotal total Euro qpf has some 25-28" amounts near Tampa Harvey had some 60" amounts (not that I would expect anything like that)
  11. This would leave a mark. Shallow bay. Oof
  12. I'm definately curious about how Tampa Bay would handle a surge of a storm hitting at an angle like that. I assume that has been modelled pretty often (slosh model?)
  13. You are correct for things like power and trees. I don’t foresee major structural stuff. But I know squat about these things.
  14. I’m thinking rainfall. But surge could be bad depending on individual bays and the angle it is pushing. that’s a lot of rain modeled
