Not sure if one can truly prepare for a Cat 3 in SNE. You can get a generator and some canned food. Unless you want to go totally doomsday. It would suck for weeks or longer if a ‘38 Redux hit
September is usually very summerlike in SNE. The only big change is daylight.
I personally enjoy Sept and October quite a bit. November and April and get lost
Local PWS to me has 0.53” for Aug so far and 2.63” for July. I think both are a little low. They recorded 0.0” yesterday when I had around 0.15” in a localized downpour. This has happened a couple of times
We get C-130s in 2s or 3s pretty routinely. They head towards a beacon in Templeton and loop around Wachusett I guess. Neat to see but the C5s are special
I think (for my area at the time (Foxboro)) it was virtually impossible to get a good measurement due to the long duration winds. Our VW microbus was completely buried though
As I was leaving my Springfield training last week it was very cold to see a couple of very low flying C-5As or whatever they are called. Those are biggley
My mother in law still has a bunch of those she uses regularly. She’s 90 A couple of years ago we partially cleaned out her garage and cellar. We got rid of a few and she had some still in plastic wrapping that had never been opened /used
