  1. I use that blend for cappuccinos and lattes.
  2. Whitinsville had a bunch of good info when we had that mega thread going. I have old friends who work at some of the bigger players (Pfizer and Moderna) who were involved at the beginning of this. Smart people
  3. On occasion (maybe once per week or every other week) I will preorder one from the one near my work. On a not so busy street near a gravel quarry. At that time of day there is maybe one or two cars there. Usually none. 95% of my coffee come from my home machine. One cup per day. Sometimes an afternoon one.
  4. Getting medical advice from a weather forum (or twitter etc) seems illogical, but what do I know.
  5. $3.50 for a medium iced coffee that has a 50/50 chance at being terrible and a 0% chance at being excellent is madness. I still cave on occasion though.
  6. Thanks. We visit that area pretty often. Wife went to the Zoo back in the day. It was looking so green today. People were mowing lawns. Weeks ahead of here
  7. Speaking of W Mass, we were in the Hippie Valley today touring a couple of schools with our daughter. Quite different than my ULowell experiences.
  8. Forsythia here bloomed but maybe 10% on a bush that would normally have 100% blooms. Very weird
  9. I don’t think that’s it is an epidemic or anything. Just something I want to avoid as I get older
  10. It definitely varies by person. My wife had almost no reaction. I had a bigger reaction than her for the first one as well. But this second one is nasty. Having uncontrolled shakes for hours last night was bizarre. Feeling a bit better now.
  11. I had chicken pox when I was pretty young (5ish?). I know a few people who got shingles and it is not a fun thing. Very painful and gross
  12. Wife and I had round 2 of the shingles vaccination. Round one wasn’t very pleasant so I was hoping the second would be better. Wrong. Starting around 11PM I had the worst shivers, muscle aches, headache etc. I feel nauseous. Did not affect my wife nearly as much. Hopeful it passes soon.
  13. Just clouds and occasional mist here Our son sent us this pic from his dorm in RI. Only a month left there
  14. Daughter was doing a service project at Wachusett Mountain State Park so I stopped by the ski area for a minute. Some trails still looked skiable despite the lack of grooming and extreme warmth. Not bad
  15. Why get rid of the Rogue? Those are pretty nice and no car payment. Should be able to last another 5 years. The Bronco Sport is ok but the fuel economy is lacking in the bigger engine. Even the three cylinder is kinda thirsty for a compact SUV. I know the cool factor is there. Honda CRV has been updated. Mazda CX-50 is a new model and is pretty luxurious.
  16. With this warmth the black flies are now out. Yuck
  17. And then a few weeks later on July 4th this guy went through our front yard. Wild Kingdom here at times
  18. My wife saw a momma bear and three cubs last summer near our pool in the backyard. That family of bears were sorta celebrities in our town for a while. People kept seeing them all over unless there were multiple triplets
  19. Super super rare. More likely to have a random tree branch break off and clunk you in the head than a bear attack
  20. I know grizzly bears can easily outpace even the fastest runners. I doubt our black bears get that fast but they can move quickly. In Massachusetts, black bear populations have increased by 8% per year since the 1970s. There are now over 4500 in the state
  21. The NJ bear attack had no cubs. It was just random from what I understand But they usually run the other way. We see them here from time to time
  22. One killed a guy in NJ a few years ago But they generally go after prey with meat on their bones. Hopefully you brought some tape just in case
  23. Down to 63 now. Might need to be closing windows.
  24. I do add some shipping tape to seal it off from bugs etc. that takes 30 seconds
  25. I don’t know if it is 3F off. Home stations around here were hitting 89-91F at similar elevation.
