  1. Might need a thread in the next day or so. 0z GFS with another run showing a siggy event and Euro members looked solid earlier today too
  2. His reply, "It’s two days of cold, then back to avg/mild"
  3. Sfc temps really marginal early on until the defo cranks NW IN into MI but yeah, sfc low really deepens fast
  4. 12z GFS is a decent thread the needle hit here with the low amplitude wave amplifying some but marginal low level thermals/poor time of day cuts down on accums.
  5. First image is the 0z Euro members and the second image is the 6z members. The 0z op run didn't even have a system as the upper low north of Lake Superior didn't allow the potential wave to do much after crossing the Rockies. And I'm talking about the pre Thanksgiving system
  6. This one legit made me lol he's had some rough med range calls as of late
  7. Had 2.5" at 9am but probably tacked on some more after that. Going off that^ first total, 8.7" now on the season.
  8. Lol 18z Euro came in wetter with a wider swath too.
  9. Probably needs its own thread but too lazy to make one. 12z Euro came in with 3-5" along/north of 88 across northern Illinois late Sunday night through mid afternoon Monday.
  10. Z Germans must’ve upgraded z German. Consistent as it gets with this system. Lock steady. Ride it.
  11. some guidance keeps ORD around 30 tomorrow and I believe the record low max is 34. Record cold possible tomorrow and again next week.
  12. 0z Nest looks like the 18z Euro swath placement wise a little less snow but damn. 5-9” axis from initial band alone
  13. GFS and the 18z NAM to extent only model guidance with the weird sfc pattern like wrapping west that in the model creates winds off the lake. GFS has shown it for several runs now.
  14. Euro is south with the initial front band but makes up for it Thursday with a nicer look at H5 that leads to a fairly long period of accumulating snow on Thursday.
  15. A potpourri of solutions between the 12z ARW (most bullish), NMM (least bullish) and NSSL-WRF (middle ground)
  16. Pretty weird seeing good model agreement on 4-6" for MBY (tossing the very hot Euro) before/on Halloween. What a head start heading into the snow season if that verifies.
