I belonged to a ski club in the 80's, we cancelled some trips because the conditions were so bad. This year would be fine.

Not used to the cold, 14 degrees just slapped me in the face, other years it doesn't feel bad at all. Says what kind of winter so far.

Yea, it was pretty good...maybe a bit too light south, but not bad.
I'll post it later.
Maybe a tad low but it pretty much melted. I have a coating left.

My friends that like warm weather moved south, most to Florida, just saying.

Best skiing for me in later years were those 3 to 6 inch refreshers every couple of days. With moderate temps and low winds in between. Pretty great looking with only the weekend being brutal cold. Going to the Ice Castles Saturday in that cold with a bunch of Ladies and me. Great
Ill be up there with my ladies also, was hoping for cold and a little snow up there would be nice.

Picked up about 10” today at the mountain. Fairly evenly distributed at all elevations.
But that was one of the heaviest 3-4hr bursts we’ll see up here. Tons of QPF. The ASOS had like 0.30” water in 2hrs there and that’s probably under reported.
Pics?

Temperature spiked up to 33.8, ice breaking off the trees in violent bursts.
I drove home from Worcester earlier this afternoon and got bombarded with ice falling off trees, temp spiked now down to 39.

46F. The beat goes on as far as+ departures go. Coming up on 2 weeks now of + with only 1 day in there below. Only 7 days below normal since Jan 1st. And tack on anther 10 days to end December above normal. So over a 45 day span, 1/2 of Winter, only 16% of that days have averaged below normal.
Didnt realize it was that bad, I would think Feb/March should be better, law of averages and all that.

Ha, Brian’s older than me I think? Maybe by a couple years? I know I’m a few behind Will and Scooter.
I mean I’m talking cold though. Like dry highs in the single digits and lows below zero which is what mid winter can be like for weeks on end.
I just think running errands, skiing, being outside, it’s so much nicer at 35F.
Im starting to come around to that way of thinking but didn't want to say it out loud, thought I'd get roasted, of course I'm much older than all you guys and just started feeling like this last couple of years. Wouldn't mind a 12-18 incher at below 0 like Alaska has right now though.

Buying a car is still kind of the worst though. Although, this experience wasn’t as bad as others.
was able to get money off the price and more for my trade with some negotiation... mostly done online.
Finance guy was kind of a dink after I declined all warranties they offer, (which were like half the price of the truck in some instances). My guess is a lot of the money he makes is tied to that
It is, they make a lot of money selling those warranties. Little known fact, if you happen to buy one (don't) and you get rid of the vehicle before the warranties up you get a refund of the remaining time.

Yea my buddy had 110 k on his they gave him 17K. He went out and bought a Chevy
All vehicles have problems/recalls, its how they handle it that counts.

Didn't they recall Tacomas for rotting frames a while back
Long time ago and they either paid you above market value for your vehicle or repaired it depending on the year. If Toyota makes a mistake they more than make up for it, in my experience.

Measuring in 78 must have been difficult with all the blowing and drifting. 78 had more of an impact.
